Where And When To Buy Garden Seeds At Dirt Cheap Prices

Where And When To Buy Garden Seeds At Dirt Cheap Prices

Just a few places that I know have incredibly cheap prices on garden seeds and the dates when they have them for sale.
I have been keeping up the master garden seed catalog ordering list for all the seed companies in the USA and Canada. It’s updated for 2017 (6 years running now) so if you want to rapidly order seed catalogs to your door for free, here is the page: http://www.tomorrowsgarden.net/node/17
If you have a seed company that is not on the list I will add you if you have a website.

I have used these same seeds from Menards every year and they work very well! They were 10 cents last year (2018).

oh yeah. I think I’m going to make a garden this year. I have a bunch of cats now so the birds and rats will probably not take everything.

    Great 👍video!
If you buy from Dollar General, the seeds from this past year will mostly
all germinate in next year’s garden. It’s a real win win.
    Thanks

Hi when was the dollar general sales?
And should I go to menard sales in January or February ?

  7. Medicine Man on April 25, 2022 at 6:55 pm

Last year i went to a few dollar generals and they had their seeds 90% off, and i only ended up just paying 1 cent each. I bought every last one of them, i had to of gotten like 230 ish packets lol. So now i got a big plastic bin full of seed packets that i just give out to my gardening friends.

    Non Gmo and organic?

  9. Stella Luuk on April 25, 2022 at 6:57 pm

This year the seeds sold out fast, not likely to find many deals due to pandemic gardening.

  10. what on April 25, 2022 at 7:00 pm

11 for $1 starting today in MN
I should probably watch the rest in case you’re about to cover this…
the other big sale opportunity comes around the 2nd or 3rd week in Feburary when they give another 25% off of their already 40% discounted listed price.

  11. Patrick Meehan on April 25, 2022 at 7:01 pm

How is the quality of the seeds

  12. Mengleang Taing on April 25, 2022 at 7:02 pm

I want to buy 1000 packs, can you give shop’s email to me?

  13. GN GD on April 25, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Where to buy Tamarillo seed? Someone can help, please.

  14. Dale Calder on April 25, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Those were some fantastic prices. At 2 cents a pack they should just give them away instead of paying someone at the checkout LOL.

If you don’t live in Ohio this video is worthless: fail
Add OHIO ONLY to your title: idiot

  16. Peter XYZ on April 25, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I’m in north east Ohio and Menard is an hour outside of this city. I’ll make the trip! I’ll hit Dollar Gen too. Thanks for the tips!!!

We have 4 DG’s in town. One had seeds before they were on sale I bought all their onion seeds and bean seeds. I went back a few weeks later when everything was 50% off-lawn and garden that is. Nobody had seeds. So sad.

  18. Judy A. Shroads on April 25, 2022 at 7:05 pm

As I also buy the seeds from dollar general. Buying heirloom seeds and saving seeds from the plants would benefit us all.

  19. Patti Hayden on April 25, 2022 at 7:05 pm

    Lol

  20. 7Savings Garden on April 25, 2022 at 7:07 pm

Great video, we don’t have that store around us but we have Walmart, Lowes, Home depot and other small garden shops , I usually save my own seeds and i have a couple of videos about that but when I Need one that I don’t have, I check for sales at the end of the growing season.

  21. CocoaAndTea on April 25, 2022 at 7:07 pm

What spy camera do you have, the camera quality is pretty good.

  22. Mahadev on April 25, 2022 at 7:08 pm

Save your own seeds, then they are free; even cheaper than 2c/pack. Walmart sold 20c packs sometimes at regular price, called American Seeds, inside not many seeds present.

  23. DJMovit on April 25, 2022 at 7:10 pm

I forgot to mention I liked your old beginning clip.

  24. DJMovit on April 25, 2022 at 7:11 pm

10/$1.00 was a fantastic price. I always look at the end of the season when stores mark stuff down. I had gotten those seed starting trays really really cheap from Walgreens one year, still have some not opened. I’ll have check Dollar general as I normally don’t go there.

  25. Fozzythemexican on April 25, 2022 at 7:11 pm

Blast off to the moon, lol. Great video.

  26. Z71Ranger on April 25, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Here the seed company’s make the retail seller destroy and unsold seed and put all the leftover seed in the trash… The store gets 100 % refund on the unsold seed…The company does that so we don’t buy the seed for penny’s a pack for the next years gardens and then we have to buy new seed next year at full price… When the stores told me that… I told them I would never buy seed from them or that company’s name brand again… That was about 10 years ago… Now I buy all my seed online at Morgan County Seed… Check them out Great Prices!!!

Timing is everything, and you timed this perfect as I have 3 Menards locations here in Madison.  I like the OMRI listed bales of peat moss Menards carries in the spring/summer, as it is the least expensive peat I have found that does not contain a chemical wetting agent.

5yrs ago in the fall I got a bunch of smaller wire "tomato" cages on clearance for under $1ea.  They are the perfect size for peppers.

Blain’s Farm and Fleet is also locally owned, and they have some great deals too.  They have been carrying more and more organic supplies each year.

  31. franzb69 on April 25, 2022 at 7:18 pm

i would rather throw all the seeds that won’t germinate in a pot and if it germinates great. if it doesn’t i’d be like whatever. then reuse the soil for something else.

  32. Emma Dalrymple on April 25, 2022 at 7:18 pm

These were outrageous deals, and I like how you smuggled in the spy pen, hilarious, but I like your determination!

  33. tim jones on April 25, 2022 at 7:18 pm

  34. Southpaw Davey urban farm. on April 25, 2022 at 7:18 pm

    Cheers mate.

  36. goatgal7 on April 25, 2022 at 7:24 pm

Great video!I used to get seed packs for 10cents at Campbell’s supply, but they stopped selling them at reduced prices. They said the seed company wanted the seeds sent back to them.~sigh~Our little town just got a dollar general, so thanks so much for the information.

  37. Tommy Nickels on April 25, 2022 at 7:27 pm

oh my lord! $1 get 10 packs. in canada, I have to pay $2 to $4 PER PACK so a $3 average would be $30 and you paid $1. Fck me.

  38. Victoria S. on April 25, 2022 at 7:28 pm

TWO CENTS. FIVE CENTS. FORTY CENTS. Why has no one mentioned this to me sooner in life?! Thank you for this info. Wait for me dollar general ! 2019

  39. Michele Brodbeck on April 25, 2022 at 7:28 pm

I always buy some seeds from Menards when they do the 10/$1 even if I think I have enough!! I never purchased gardening stuff from Dollar General but I’ll be on the look out this season. Shout out from Bartlett, IL.

  43. Alam Ez on April 25, 2022 at 7:39 pm

I’m Indonesian, please find a bulk size seed packaging site, please help me

  44. what on April 25, 2022 at 7:41 pm

The thing about Menards, burpee seed packets is that they are priced
higher than other burpee vendors, when you take 40% off, it’s the same
price as Home Depot or Walmart. For that reason, only when it’s 25% off of the already 40% off is Burpee at Menards a deal. Get stuff you need to start early for 25% off in mid feb , and get the rest at home Depot’s Black Friday Garden sale which occurs around tax time and Burpee stuff is 2 for 1.
