Hello Niall, are you sowing these under growlights indoors, outside in a greenhouse, or cold frame? Iโ€™m not sure from your video?

Going to give some chillies a go ? super ! The spangled twilight are not different coloured chillies they are just the ripening colours. The way a bell pepper starts off green, turns yellow, orange and finely red. The twilight starts green then light purple and finely red. So if you are pulling off ripe peppers they will all be deep red. Hope you have a plentiful harvest.

Great information, looking forward to your April planting.

I’ve sowed jalapeno and Hungarian hot wax chillies. Have bought a heated propagator mat so trying that out. Still a bit cold in Merseyside to sow anything else yet I think but struggling to be patient!

Even though we are 2 years to move to the new house arround Barcelona area I started tomatoes and red peppers on my small terrace. They will need to grow in the garden of my mother in law though as there’s no space here in the city for that. But wanted to try and practice ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow look at you 1000 subs congratulations Niall. Iโ€™m trying with slight difficulty to hold off sowing as we have snow and super cold days right now. I have started some peas inside but not much else as all my brassicas are way too leggy. As always ๐Ÿ safe and ๐Ÿ gardening ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅฌ๐ŸŒถ

Thank you for the video ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t start my tomatoes yet since my greenhouse is too small to plant them inside. We very, very rarely have a frost in May, which is when I can plant them outside, so I start them 6-8 weeks earlier, in March. (…also because I don’t have space on the windowsill until I’ve planted the brassicas out LOL)

And yes to successional sowing, I will definitely be doing that with all our brassicas. Our weather can be all over the place so I like to spread the risk of them going to seed a bit by sowing at different times.

Aha! Good Lance at Tomato Revolution ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ some nice choices Niall! Surprised you werenโ€™t tempted by some of the dwarf varieties! ๐Ÿ™ˆ admittedly I have far too many tomato varieties on the go ๐Ÿคฃ so much so that Iโ€™m going to be really disappointed if I havenโ€™t turned into a tomato myself come the end of the year! ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ… am also trialling some new F1 crosses that were sent to me from the USA – will then be growing on the f2โ€™s next year and seeing what I get from them and reporting back to the breeder! Super exciting! ๐Ÿ˜ as always fab video!

Hey folks! Let me know what youโ€™re sowing this month! Are you starting anything different to me? ๐ŸŒฑ

  14. Maricel Pagalan on September 12, 2021 at 2:02 am

My last frost is March 1, I’ve sown everything you have except for cauliflower, because I find it a little hard to grow, but I might try again. I have sown beans, a bit early but last year it got so hot very early and I did not get many beans so I’m hoping I can get more harvest this year. Good luck with your veggie garden!

  15. Laelaps Hound on September 12, 2021 at 2:04 am

โ€œI never thought Iโ€™d get excited about cauliflowerโ€… that sums up lockdown ๐Ÿคฃ

Great video Niall – managed to get through all that very swiftly! Really nice that you’ve got everything in the description as well. Where are you raising most of these at the moment? Polytunnel or the conservatory?

  18. Cornish Heaven on September 12, 2021 at 2:19 am

  19. Lorraine G on September 12, 2021 at 2:21 am

Niall great video as always, Liz is a gem,she is where i heard of you from, i thank her for that.Brussels sprouts we loveeeeee ๐Ÿ’š. I had success with cauli’s this year, just two and i was happy to get two. Have saved this video so can refer to for the tomatoes varieties, i freeze my tomatoes for Winter. Lettuce pull and grow varieties i love. I never have luck with peppers, beetroot and radish ๐Ÿ™ˆ. Peas are the best to grow i love growing them, and def love herbs. Money maker tomatoes one of my favourites. Will drop some names later when i have my seed collections nearby. We are like kids in a sweet shop with the choices.
