Have you looked into Rise Garden? I’m considering that one or the iHarvest. Having a hard time picking between the two.

I had to go and watch a few videos to really decide what system I was interested in and I think the IHarvest would be the system I would go with. I’m even more interested now to see if there is a system I can grow larger fruit with indoors…like watermelon and cantaloupe! Is this even a thing? I do not know… Can’t wait to see what you guys picked!

Thank you for the video, the good will but where is the sustainability if you buy everything? DIY…

I think the LettuceGrow is my fav, I really like the look of the Gardyn but they do not allow you to pick your seeds at all. You are forced with the 30 starter kit, which is pretty lame when you have to shell out at least $800 for the system. AFAIK, you can choose your own seeds with LettuceGrow, iHarvest and Aerogarden

Just received the Gardyn. Can’t wait to get started.

    No click and grow?

How did you connect to the wifi? I’ve tried for hours!!! It gets stuck at 99%.. turned off the 5g and even moved the thing downstairs next to the modem – nope. Pulled the box out of the garbage I’m about to disassemble and return – so pissed off

would you happen to know if the plastic used in any of these four kits are considered food grade plastic?

  16. Jax Cortez on December 21, 2021 at 5:17 pm

Aero Garden makes its growing container in China. Do you know which company makes all their products in the USA? And which company has seeds that are non-GMO?

Great information, I love this channel. You two are so good together.

  18. Kv pce on December 21, 2021 at 5:19 pm

thank you this was so informative as I would like to get started myself I would have chosen the Guardyn one

  19. SyleneGT2RS on December 21, 2021 at 5:20 pm

I guess it’s Lettuce Grow for us because we’re only buying made in the USA products now.

  20. Sandy Schupper on December 21, 2021 at 5:21 pm

I think AeroGrow offers best options at most reasonable cost. I’d probably get a Garden BUT it is way too pricy.

  21. Fiona Guoguo Lu on December 21, 2021 at 5:21 pm

    Gardyn

  22. Nick J on December 21, 2021 at 5:22 pm

I bought two iHarvest. One came and one did not. The one that did was missing pieces and the nutrients had bust open. Still don’t have the second one. Buy elsewhere!

    I love those! 🤩🌱

  25. Ninja 87 on December 21, 2021 at 5:24 pm

Aerogarden is super nice, but the pods are way too close to grow anything of substantial growth in each pod.
The Gardyn was my next interest, as I am only looking for indoor gardens, but dang they are so expensive. $5 a seed pod? That is crazy. Oh unless you do the monthly fee for $30 which brings it down to $3 a pod ($30 gets you 10 free pods= $3 a pod)…..

  26. 42x3 on December 21, 2021 at 5:26 pm

The aerogarden bounty versions come with an app feature and all aerogardens have pods were you can plant anything (except root vegetables). They have starter kits based on the most commonly chosen garden seeds (herbs, salad, tomatoes, peppers). In addition, your hydroponic plant should last 6 months to years (depending on how well you maintain it). Joining a subscription has no benefits to you. Only the company.. Do the math.. the ROI will show you that you will never save money.

Thats a great video and all of you (also family in background 😀 ) have great energy. All the best and keep it going, quite informative and still straight to the point!

I just got the lettuce grow with the glow rings for indoor ! Let’s see how it goes

  29. BeanCounter86 on December 21, 2021 at 5:28 pm

Aerogarden has a grow anything kit. You don’t have to only grow their seed options.

  30. IGWorks on December 21, 2021 at 5:29 pm

Terrific video, you two! I certainly hope to see an iHarvest in your future.

Great video. We are the proud owners of a Lettuce Grow. We have had it for about 6 weeks and love it. We have ours outside and so far we are thrilled with our results!

  35. MammaDuck on December 21, 2021 at 5:34 pm

What I want in a hydroponic system:
I’ll mostly be using it in the winter months when it’s too cold to grow anything outdoors.
I almost exclusively want to use it for an herb garden. I’m vegan and I use a LOT of fresh herbs. I particularly like basil. No, I particularly LOVE basil. I eat a lot of basil. I eat bales of basil. I eat basil like a cow eats grass. Once in a while I might want to sneak a little Thai basil in with my other basil. Once in a very great while I use cilantro, but not as often as I use basil. I’m a basil addict. I’m glad basil is not illegal or I would certainly be in jail by now.
My primary issue (the prime directive short of which I will not buy) is being able to grow things less expensively that I can get them for in the grocery store. That’s one of the reasons why basil. It gets very pricey in the store, if it’s available in the quantities I want at all (I live in a food desert in terms of what sorts of healthy foods are available in our grocery stores… It’s mostly heavily processed stuff, and not a lot of fresh produce other than the common stuff like potatoes, onions, bell peppers, bananas, basic citrus, and such. Fresh herbs cost a mint for a very small plastic package.
I’m very much into green. The less there is to throw away, and the more I can put in the compost pile or directly in the garden the better. If there’s a system out there that use grow post, that would be ideal!
I don’t want to get roped in to any subscription or membership plans. One ends up getting things when you don’t need them and there’s a lot of waste, not to mention the cost. Most membership plans I’ve seen cost more than buying in the grocery store, and they tend to be very inflexible regarding what you can and can’t grow. If you don’t grow what they have which is pre-seeded, then you’re out of luck, and also there’s the bit about not using everything. There are some membership plans which, if you don’t buy them, it greatly limits the functionality of the system. If there’s any of that going on, I want nothing to do with it.
Lastly, I’m a paraplegic as the result of a chance meeting with a drunk driver about 30 years ago. While I can dump out of my wheelchair and get myself back in, it takes a lot of effort t do so, and I’d rather avoid that if possible. A table-top model would be better, so that I can roll under and work with ease. My outside garden is mostly raised beds or specially constructed roll under beds. They have been there for decades and are still serving well. I do dump out to tend to my corn and sunflowers, but I do avoid it in all other cases. I don’t need or want to grow corn or sunflowers in doors, and the less I have to dump out, the better.
With all that in mind, does anyone have recommendations regarding what I should get?

I bought the Lettuce Grow today and am excited. I was torn between that and Iharvest, such a tough call! I loved that Lettuce Grow is made in USA from recycles ocean plastic, so that’s how I decided between the two. Also love Zoe!

Growing up I thought hydroponics was a type of Marijuana. I blame my friends growing up. 🤔

  39. LadyJC Muses on December 21, 2021 at 5:45 pm

I just received my iharvest today and I’m very excited to put it together and start this process. I’ve been using a Garden Tower outdoors and the whole vermiculture system is fantastic but I really wanted something easier and cleaner for indoors so here I go! Wish me luck!
