Loved this video. Always believed in herbs right from a young age. I too agree in treatment re: Thyroid. Can you email info. on that area: theanemoneflowerpb7496258@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and wonderful video.

Yes to plantain 👍👍👍. I did the same with a hornet; felt something on the back of my arm, brushed it off without looking, but instead got stung between my fingers. Used plantain which helped a lot.

i think you’re awesome. I am making a new medicinal tea garden and I am growing all of the herbs you suggested this year and I’m so excited. Thanks.

I loved this post! I’m going to gather what information I can for my zone and see what I come up with. I wish plantain would help for being allergic to wasp stings. I’ll just keep my epi-pen handy. 🙂

Hi Heidi…so true about big pharma and the websites that support them. I realized what the deal was as soon as I started getting serious about herbalism and nutrition. It’s a joke and so obviously tailored and biased to support pharmaceutical drugs. I wasn’t fooled by the BS cuz just like you, I have experienced my own healing through nutrition, vitamins and herbs when nothing that was prescribed for me from conventional brainwashed "doctors" was working. Not to mention how enjoyable it is to create your medicine and healing!

Came across you a week or so ago and absolutely Iove the videos I have watched so far. So very helpful as I have only just really started on my natural/herbal life. Thank you for all you do and share. I have already got 6 or so books. Loving the research side of it all before I dive in to purchasing anything. Once we have a place with a garden, hopefully next year I will definitely start growing our own 😀 ❤️

Now I’m convinced I need an herbal garden. Love the way you explain its uses.

  17. Grace Be on November 17, 2021 at 1:15 pm

What herbs did you use to ween off of thyroid meds? Kelp?
Also, I have been looking into herbal antibiotics, herbal antivirals, and herbal pain relievers. I have a garden now, and I am beginning to obtain the seeds for as many of these herbs as possible. Unfortunately, some of the herbs/tinctures that I have successfully used as antibiotics, are grown in Africa from trees. I do live in a pretty hot climate here in the desert of Arizona, but the tree in question would require a larger property than I live on.
In the meantime, I have been purchasing these tinctures online. They have been true lifesavers! I have healed from two different bladder infections….one was hemorrhagic cystitis…..and more recently, I was able to use these tinctures to heal from a VERY nasty ear infection, that was being treated by the doctor and two different pharmaceutical antibiotics. The doctor was going to refer me to an ENT doctor, but my tinctures had come in the mail by then……and they healed me!

Hi, I too subscribe to a natural diet, I use medicinal herbs and essential oil supplements for probiotic , omegas and multivitamin. On the whole My husband and I are very healthy. Now my question, I have developed an afib situation. The doctor started throwing pills at me. blood pressure and blood thinner. She did all this after listening to the stethoscope. Blood test came back normal. I don’t take medication. What can I use naturally, to give a more normal heart rate.

We have thyroid issues and I feel a dire NEED to get my DH off meds. We can pretty much grow anything in my area. Do you have a typed out master list of herbs you grow and those for just thyroid???

  24. Sheila Jaroniewsk on November 17, 2021 at 1:24 pm

Love mountain rose. My delivery should be here today. I am just getting into herbs as I have been using EO for years. I have been able to get rid of all of my prescription medications, as well as my over the counter things. Still keep ibuprofen (for ease of use when not home), but it is the only non herbal medicine in my home. So appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge. Love your channel and always learn so much from you.

  25. B S on November 17, 2021 at 1:25 pm

Where do you get your seeds? I can’t find the less used herbs in the main seed companies websites. I’m also looking for a good essential oil company. Most don’t say if there oils are for internal use. I can only find Doterra and they are really expensive.

  26. Michele Kennedy on November 17, 2021 at 1:26 pm

Heidi, thank you so much for sharing your time & talents. This is a wonderful video on growing medicinal herbs. I am sitting here planning out my wild garden and your input was priceless. I especially liked the end about Genesis. Yes, wild plants are God’s gift! 🙂

  28. West Rose on November 17, 2021 at 1:27 pm

Very pleasant site. Thank you. Love to talk herbs. I grew wild lettuce in my garden one year. Was excited to use this wild plant. Dried the leaves and made tea several times and found that it seemed to ‘leach’ calcium from my bones each time I drank it! Tried it several times to make sure I was not imagining this effect, but my arm and leg bones actually hurt after drinking. The last time my teeth hurt so haven’t tried it since. This was dismaying for me as I like to use herbs in lieu of other pharmaceutical remedies. As I write this, wonder if the effect was putting calcium into the bones? Is that possible?

  32. bentley1960 on November 17, 2021 at 1:31 pm

What I do is look at the herbs already growing in your yard or around your area. I live in the country and was teaching my grand kids about herbs this summer. I looked out the kitchen window which is under a big shade tree. Just looking out the kitchen window I pointed out to them more than a dozen herbs that just grow naturally in folks yard all around the country. Well might have been one that was not natural lol garlic. But one would be surprised at what grows in your yard many think of as weeds like dandelion, wild lettuce, clover, plantain, thistle, black berry, curly dock or yellow dock, to name a few. Then look up what these are used for and how to use them. Then you already know what herbs grow naturally and specific to your soil type and area and would be good to collect seeds from and grow in a garden if you decide to could use more of them. Start out simple and expand from there. There comes a time when doctors and western medicine is a needful thing but most things can be cured not just treated with natural herbs many of which grow right in your yard.

  36. bob builder on November 17, 2021 at 1:35 pm

Do you know if these herbs are hybrids? Do you know if any of these herbs are acidic? Do you know if any of these herbs have starch? These are the factors I tend to when looking into to a potential herb to grow. Also do you have any weeds like chickweed, purslane and lamb’s quarters? Those are very powerful as well.
