Dewberry Farm is a private residence that you can reserve for weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. On two special occasions, it is open to the public: Spring Tulips and Summer Sunflowers.
This farm in the Triad, near Winston Salem and Greensboro, has planted 100,000 tulip bulbs, as well as other spring flowers, in anticipation of visitors from all over North Carolina every year.
Dewberry Farm is at 2585 Dewberry Farm Lane, Kernersville. It’s around an hour and a half drive from the center of Charlotte, and less for those along the I-85 corridor to the north of Charlotte. It’s well worth the drive if you love flowers — especially tulips.
Dewberry Farms sits on 20 acres of the original 100-acre family farm, purchased by Ash Johnson back in 1925. The farm was originally used for tobacco and sugarcane, with the sugarcane being used to create molasses for the local community. The current farm house was built in 1989 and the barn that sits below was built entirely from trees found and milled on the property.
