A tip for everyone. If you countersink the holes you drill and not drive the screws to far it will cut down on the wood splitting. Nice job, cool project.

Nice. I’m making mine with small feet so the mesh doesn’t touch the dirt when set down.

Ah, I was excited to see this. But I don’t have any saws or woodworking skills. Nice basket though.

Nice, I see you have some easter egg layers. We have a few with the pastel eggs too, but waiting for them to start laying. They’re still young. Hoping in the next month or two. Those are some good looking chickens!

You could also put wood glue on the pieces you nailed together to give it more strength

Hey Rob nicely done but a bit complex for our neck of the woods, a bucket is a lot easier to fit between my rows and with no hard edges. I can see how it could work for hoseing off a root vegetable but I have a dedicated station that I use because I find you either have to get really close to the product with a high flow nozzle and/or give it a soft brush to dislodge the dirt. But hey could be a fun project to practise woodworking skills on. Regards Russell

I use Woodprix plans for all my joinery. Google and try it out.
