Oh Yay, I did something right. I’m building a garden and picked all purples, pinks, and blues…in honor of my mom and son who passed.

  5. Donna Sanders on June 12, 2022 at 9:01 pm

I love your gardens and the advice you give but I was wondering if you can recommend a YouTuber that has a cottage garden in the south, particularly zone 7 or 8.

Thanks for verifying that I’m actually planting cottage garden style 🙂 my new back gardens are all shades of blues, purples and white. My rose garden is purples, peaches and a soft cream yellow.
You’ve been inspiring me to get back into gardening now that I’m retired.

Laura… This was so fun. I’ve been gardening for many years but I always learn something from your videos. Always nice to get a new perspective. I also get excited when you bring up something that I do as well. Gardening does involve patience and is a work in progress. Love from Colorado.

Another fantastic video! I love cottage gardens! I have 3 long and narrow flower beds that have been working on since we bought our house 3 years ago. It’s so fun to buy all kinds of flowers and watch the garden change a little each year. I love to plant bright, loud colors that stand out against our pale yellow house. 🌺🌷🌼🌸🌻🌹

I love all your ideas and beautiful gardens you creat. I just moved to agua Dulce Ca. I talk to neighbors they say flowers don’t grow in this region because of extreme hot and cold weather. We are in region 8. Can you give me some tips as to what flowers I can grow here?

  31. KoreanPolish*G-Man on June 12, 2022 at 9:39 pm

Iv decided to turn each area of our acre yard to different styles. When I am done i will send pics. Hoping it makes your viewing other gardens. But I did have a question about the wintering of your garden. We are used to live in Silicon Valley weather so our plants never really died back or hibernate. Now that we live in Upstate NY we have real winters. Do you git rid of all the die backs of hostas, and othersreal

  32. Jennifer Brooks-Rieck on June 12, 2022 at 9:39 pm

I wish you would have talked about the planter in the back . Its got some different heights and colors. Im very curious about it. Especially because the area is sun loving. I didn’t see any blooms and my husband is allergic to bees. I really need help here with this subject.
