Donny well said! I just think that you could automate some of the work … like watering the plants. Have you checked into that? I am a data scientist and i want to start a small project… i am curious about the data i can collect and the automation i can create in a fully controlled environment.

Theres more microgreen information salesmen than there are microgreen farmers.

It is good to consume microgreens but on the same hand we should not forget that these microgreens we’re going to grow into actual crops, which would give the seeds which would next grow into microgreens we should not grow so many microgreens that we don’t even have seeds to grow the next batch.

Ive never once eaten a "micro green" while eating out in years! Only high end metro modern food uses micro greens, very small market. Most Americans cant afford these resturaunt foods.
Sounds great! I definitely want to start a microgreens business and have been thinking about the holiday time a lot as I love traveling and going on adventures locally. Could you train someone who works freelance i.e. through a house-sitting agency that offer general services and can be trusted with a key + hire someone to cover deliveries for the time you need off and even if it only keeps the business ticking over / breaking even while you’re away at least it keeps the regular customers happy?
I’m willing to sacrifice my time a lot more but still want to be able to build it up to a point where I can take breaks now and then – just thinking ahead.

I guess I’m scared about where to sell my microgreens. We live in rural Indiana and folks out here don’t want microgreens, they want full grown greens. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
