Hello my name is Travis Jantzer! I’m a vlogger from Oregon in the PNW. Online I go by TJantzer. Jantzer is pronounced โYawn-sirโ because my ancestors immigrated from Germany in the late 1800s. My wifeโs name is Cassie and our daughter born in spring of 2019 is named Hazel. If you watch our videos youโll learn we love rock climbing (particularly bouldering), ultimate frisbee, road trips, diy projects, and drones. We converted a van to a camper for vanlife and take road trips when we have time. We play ultimate in the fall. Climb in the gym from fall to spring. Play Frisbee again in the spring. And play sand volleyball with our friends through the summer. I wrote a book and love writing poetry. Cassie loves watercolor painting and pencil sketching. We both enjoy cooking though she is way better at it. I started on Youtube in 2011 but did not take it seriously until 2018 and even then I was inconsistent. In 2020 my resolution is to make one video every weekend and post it by Tuesday of that week. My passion is video editing. I started doing wedding videos last year and this year got a job shooting real estate photos and video. I still consider myself an amateur, but Iโm learning something new with every video.
My goals for 2020:
1 video every week
500 subscribers on Youtube
$10,000 earned from local video and photo gigs ($1000 earned.. but Covid.)
Subscribe to my channel to follow along. Comment below if you relate to anything you see, or have any questions.
Iโll respond to as many comments as I see!
You can find me on Instagram and Twitter with โTJantzerโ and visit my website to see my writing and blog posts at TJantzer.com
Thanks for stopping by!
Iโll see you next Tuesday.

lucky mother.
Great content but your music to voice audio is way off. The music is loud AF!
Whats the name of the purple clematis??
Wait…I just realized I don’t know how to attach a quick video or picture…duh
I enjoy watching your straight to the point videos! Thank you!
Just love your videos, love your wife and little girl and your whole family and your life in general basically lol
-Ive learned so much and please keep up the awesome awesome stuff you create.
Here is a very small and simple one I made in my back yard thanks to you!! ๐ I will be going bigger and more sophisticated as soon as time allows it. I will keep you posted on that ๐ thank you again- so much!!
Great job! Love this type of natural rock fountain….what size concrete bit did you use? Thanks, Kristy ๐
Common sense explanation from no one but you on void boxes and splash consideration. Thank you for taking the fear out of building a water feature!
Could you provide more info on drilling through rock. Concrete bit? I imagine some rock is easier that others. Thanks- looks great!
Travis, you truly seem like a super nice guy. I absolutely love garden water features and have 3 so far. Love your videos and tutorials. A+++
Great music, really easy process. This is the 3rd video of yours I’ve seen, and I know it will lead to more
Great video, thanks. Next time, pleeeeeease nix the music? It’s just annoying and nerve-wracking, and at times it’s difficult to hear you talking.
Really like the flat rocks waterfall.
You, โRockโ bruh๐
Seriously though, Thank you!๐๐๐ฝ
You could watch a video on ,how to make a video.
Get a tripod, please
Spi-G-ot. Not spi-c-ot
I love it
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills, this is exactly what I was looking for… a rock waterfall. I appreciate the diagram at the beginning, it makes so much sense! Using a container to create a void is a great tip.
I came looking for ideas for a kidโs fountain garden and LOVED seeing Hazel play in it at the end! Have you ever thought of making a kidโs fountain play area tutorial? Your videos are wonderful, thanks for sharing and God bless your family!
Travis,
A nice improvement over the first water feature you did for your in-laws. What I like most is that you did this for someone else.
I thought they both looked ๐
Love your design concepts.
Just FYI, This video was initially just a mothers day vlog where I thought it would be cool to explain how to make the gift I was giving. I was not anticipating it getting the views it has! But, my tutorials (which apparently I make now) are only getting better. Thanks for watching ๐
Thanks ๐ค
Great video. You might want to lower the background music. A lot of creators make that mistake. Off to build a fountain..
Mini Stonehenge ๐
What did u use to retain the water in the bottom? Did u use a box?
At 6:01 we see you digging. The camera turns away to a toddler. Camera goes back, looks like bricks stacked. Did you use the prior pan? Why waste our time if you don’t show us exactly how to do it? I assume that was why you made the video. Please then shame the video, watch me run errands.
Hey everyone! I just finished a big waterfall behind my parents house and I think it turned out really well. Its my biggest project yet and I put a lot of time into both the project and the video. Please go check it out! https://youtu.be/I8lkRud77oM
Thanks!
Just getting some ideas for a future house, and I love the idea of drilling holes and using larger river rocks to make your own personal fountain exactly the way you want to!
A plastic milk carton container of the sort you see at a grocery store would make a good substitute for a void box. Those are very rugged and a convenient cube shape.
Thanks for this. I will try to remake this. My only problem is where to find a drill.
I liked the fountain with japanese maple. Have instructions on it?
Thanks Travis!
Creative video content bro ๐
looks good, thanks for sharing!!
Great…where the water comes out of?
It’s called a masonary drill bit.
Love this!
@5:05/ What are those purple flowers?
Beautiful shapes, shades, colors, sounds and textures! congrats for the works you do and thanks for the quick tips. I’ve been planning my water feature for at least 2 yrs, but I can’t decide for one style.
I’ve made my first try in form of water pillars, using 10" diameter PVC piping to fill in with cement, Is it necessary to apply any kind of resin or cement sealant when making a sump for the water feature?
Edit: I don’t like the classic pond liners, not sure why, but I resist to put plastics into the earth (even if they’re "green")
This video 5 % water fall 95% taking non water fall good info bad video.
the ๐ถ water ๐ง fountain ๐
You mentioned using a tub, (which is what I have) would I still need a void for the water or will the tub suffice to hold the water? Thank you. great videos
Shouldn’t the pump go inside the void box rather than outside adjacent as in your drawing?
Does it matter?
I think the reason you’re getting so many questions on this DIY tutorial is that it doesn’t really have any of the DIY features of a DIY tutorial. Namely, the procedures you used for building your fountain.
Thanks for sharing this video with us. Looking good to me. This spring I planned on doing something like this.
im actually planning to make my mom a water fountain for mothers day!
Thats awesome..now i know how to make a diy waterfalls.just wanna know what kind of water pump did you used sir.new friend here from the philippines.staysafe and Godbless
