Shade Garden Tour

Shade Garden Tour

A tour of the shade garden we planted earlier this year with Proven Winners caladiums and begonias. So much has grown in these beds with beautiful foliage. The Flower Pillows are also filled out and look great for shady combinations.

I love your video. As a new upstart youtuber I can appreciate how long it take to edit and post a garden segment. I never realized how time consuming it is and how you watch with anticipation daily for that new subscriber . By the way you have a new one today…ME…THE GARDEN NOOB

Great video! Thank you for filming it. I’m always drawn to shade videos because I have so much. I am in Vancouver πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦(zone 8) and I think caladiums, and certainly coleus are annuals here. Are they where you are? That is the prettiest shade garden and the baskets!!! I love them. I love diamond frost euphorbia too. I always prefer to plant perennials (less work in the end), but yours are so pretty, I might give in..
Also, I see this was posted in September, but it looks as though it was filmed much earlier? I’m going to check out your channel and IG!πŸ‘πŸ»

  30. June Smart on October 15, 2021 at 9:49 am

Such a lot of beautiful colors, shapes, and textures. Very artistic, and cheerful. Have you researched plants for rain gardens to plant in you areas that are soggy during rainy times? Your wet area looks like a perfect location for these kinds of plants that can tolerate soggy times or dry times.

  31. Leona Russell on October 15, 2021 at 9:50 am

Love your shade garden. Do you ever do designs for other people?

  45. Elizabeth Reynolds on October 15, 2021 at 10:01 am

Lovely, lovely shade garden. I just love all the different color variations coleus offer. I have trouble with weigela, too. Proven winners say to pronounce it this way: why-jill-uh. Makes it a lot easier for me. Hope it does for you.🀩

Those caladium leaves are really stunning! They pop against the fence background…white & the pink varieties! Thanks for sharing! πŸ€©πŸŒΈπŸŒ±πŸ˜πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

  48. Tysha Marks on October 15, 2021 at 10:03 am

New to your channel, question: do you have a sprinkler or irrigation system? I want to plant more coleus and other stuff but I don’t want to have to water everyday. Your garden is beautiful.

  49. Jessica Gagnon on October 15, 2021 at 10:05 am

I wanted caladiums this year but they were $10 a piece. Not bad if not annuals 😳

  50. Amy Hoff on October 15, 2021 at 10:09 am

Love πŸ’• πŸ’• Caladiums , I grew mine from corms and they are nothing like yours and we had hot weather and they are so slow and still small- ish , what do you plan on doing with them when the cold weather comes or are they a perennial in Virginia ?
