If your window boxes are plastic, Magic Eraser works great.

  2. Patty Kulage on June 15, 2022 at 9:11 pm

Thank you again Ken/Aaron for the lower music!! Perfect ๐Ÿ˜˜

Do you ever turn off your porch lights?

I recently learned that parsley is a host plant for the hover fly, a big aphid hunter. I plan on putting parsley everywhere this year.

  5. strngenchantedgirl on June 15, 2022 at 9:14 pm

Getting a close up on that espoma potting soil and Iโ€™m super jealous that I canโ€™t get it in my area. That is some good looking potting soil.

  6. Rosario Paiz on June 15, 2022 at 9:14 pm

    The window boxes look beautiful.

  7. Hadley Rosen on June 15, 2022 at 9:16 pm

What kind of tree is that in the background? The one with red leaves. So gorgeous!

  8. Corby DeForest on June 15, 2022 at 9:17 pm

Do you ever think you will have all of the projects that you want to do on the property done. I love how you plan and think about all the changes to enhance your space.

  9. Meg G on June 15, 2022 at 9:17 pm

LOVE LOVE LOVE the colander planter of greens. Am definitely going to try this.

  10. Marci Dunfee on June 15, 2022 at 9:17 pm

Such a great idea, thank you!

I like that you are planting that bowl with a smile in your face. Pure joy in what you do every day โค๏ธ

  12. Cher Nielsen on June 15, 2022 at 9:18 pm

I love your window boxes! Iโ€™m trying to make my own if you have any adviceโ€ฆ I took note to no less than 6โ€ in depth, and drainage holes, I like that you donโ€™t have an insert for the boxes, thatโ€™s difficult for perfect dimensions Iโ€™ve discoveredโ€ฆ Do you prefer using the 4โ€ pots instead of pony packs? Thank you for your knowledge! Iโ€™ve watched you for years! โ™ฅ๏ธ

  13. Rachelle Taylor on June 15, 2022 at 9:18 pm

The lettuce colander is so pretty. I have a question. I am not familiar with moss. Is it ok to be packed around your soil and edibles? I was concerned with any chemicals from it leaching into the soil? I’m trying to stay as organic as possible. I watch your videos everyday and I have learned so much. Thank you!

  14. Shelly Roman on June 15, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Everything looks beautiful! That colander is way bigger than it looks…. very fun!โ™ก

  15. Hotel Designer on June 15, 2022 at 9:20 pm

Love this idea! Last fall I planted a basket full of herbs for use with our Thanksgiving day meal. This spring Iโ€™d like to do a window box with summer herbs for salads and teas! I enjoy these ideas for our home. Thank you for sharing!

fun fact: tuberous begonia flowers are edible!

  18. T Kelsh on June 15, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Hello Laura, I was wondering your thoughts about filling pots with plastic bottles as a โ€œfillerโ€. Then adding less potting soil before planting. So enjoy your content. Best Wishes from Albuquerque, NM!

  19. Shandy's Garden on June 15, 2022 at 9:31 pm

I’m going with edibles all across the front of my house now, this year. I’ve learned so much from watching you and the lettuces & cabbages are just gorgeous! The front of my house only gets morning Sun so it’s just perfect for greens. I love that colander from your mom! That thing’s probably 100 years old ๐Ÿ˜

  20. Shandy's Garden on June 15, 2022 at 9:32 pm

One day when you have your wrap around porch, of course you will have boxes hanging on the rails all the way around! They won’t be in the way of the seating and they’ll get a little more sun!

  21. Allison Robinson on June 15, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Off topic, but can we get a dahlia update? Iโ€™m trying to figure out what I should do next with the dahlias I have started inside. They are doing so well thanks to you! You have given me the confidence to try dahlias for the first time. โค๏ธ

  22. Lynda Mello on June 15, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Love the window boxes Laura! The vintage colander is perfect for those flowers. Canโ€™t wait to see more.

  24. Cobie Bentley on June 15, 2022 at 9:36 pm

I have some Hyacinth bulbs in a container that has been overrun by grass, would that be okay if I wanted until they went dormant and removed them so I could clear out the container then replant them?

  25. Roxanne ODonoghue on June 15, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Nasturtiums would be pretty hanging out of the boxes too.

  26. thejillykilly on June 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

Clearly you donโ€™t have slug issues. Good for you!

  27. Charlotte Goforth on June 15, 2022 at 9:39 pm

This is great news, for years I’ve planted chives w/petunias, rosemary w/geraniums & chard w/purple fountain grass. Also used a double sized chimney cover inverted for my first raised bed. It all works together … cgzone8

  28. Candy Allison on June 15, 2022 at 9:40 pm

  29. Caitlin Conway on June 15, 2022 at 9:40 pm

!!! I love the footage of you planting and there’s no music it’s just silence and the sound of dirt and water occasionally. Mmmm so peaceful! ASMR for gardeners.

Would love to see more videos for edible planters!

  39. Casi D on June 15, 2022 at 9:53 pm

Maybe an inexpensive less mess would be mudjacking the concrete to get slope away from house.

  40. RitaKaye C on June 15, 2022 at 9:53 pm

๐Ÿ‘ What great ideas!!! LOVE โค๏ธ the use of edibles especially salads and herbs!!!! Thank you for always having great ideas! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

"OH my!" Benjamin and the ash tree ๐Ÿคฃ. I have a four and a half year old son who affectionately calls you garden lady. Both he and I love to watch your videos. It makes gardening feel relatable for him when he sees Benjamin helping outside. So authentic and fun!

If you don’t love them, bring them back. Easy.

Hi Laura, I see you planted some chamomile, I tried planting them from seeds, as well as from the size of the plant as you have in your video (from the nursery). I just don’t seem to have any success. Are they finicky to grow, do they have special growing requirements?…. ps I enjoy all your videos ๐Ÿ™‚

  47. Erin James on June 15, 2022 at 10:01 pm

Benjamin said "I’m out!" Not helping today! ๐Ÿ˜‚
