Hello Gary, I enjoy watching your channel. You are one of my favorites to watch as I wind down after work. Sooo I cut off two cains from my blackberry bush by accident….how can I save them. Also I have been watching vids on how to start roots using Honey, Asprin, or Aloe as a rooting agent. Can you help.

Hey Gary, another great video. I have an in-ground herb garden I started last year that did well but am wondering if the perennial herbs you plant in containers emerge each year. Thanks, Jay.

Hi very informative . I planted rosemary in a big planter box . And over the years it grown too high and occupied almost the whole planter . My question is , do u regularly trim the rosemary ? And if so , do u have a preferred season when to trim it

I’m late to the party but what a beautiful container garden! I recently started some basil, rosemary, lavender, cilantro, parsley and chives. I started them all from seed and they’re doing wonderful! I have them all in separate pots about 12 inches deep and 11.5 inches wide. I live in Ontario Canada so we get cold weather here, I plan on bringing the pots indoors come winter with a UV light on them and hope they last forever!

I am trying to grow herbs indoors or inside of my apartment. I don’t have a balcony but I want to transplant rosemary. However, based on the video rosemary cannot grow with enough space for the roots to flourish within a window space.

  34. Adina Iliescu on August 21, 2021 at 12:44 am

just curious as to why we wouldn’t want to plant seeds in a pot directly. Why is it that a tray is more often than not used?

I’m in zone 5 and mint is sooo easy to grow for me, oregano will not grow at all. I bought fresh thyme in the plastic container that you are suppose to eat, Instead I planted it, it all rooted and is so beautiful! Best 2.99 I ever spent

I always thought potted herbs needed small stones, or rocks in the bottom for drainage, even if you have a pot with holes. Have I been planting herbs and other plants incorrectly all these years? First-time viewer. Love your video. For me, it’s been a tough year on my herbs. I think it’s me and not the heat. Thank you!

  45. Steve Lopez on August 21, 2021 at 12:55 am

Love love love this video! I have a cooking channel by the way and use herbs. Silly that I usually need one and have to go to store just for that! With your help, not anymore, so Thanks!

    BASIL,,,,, No ‘y’ so basil

  49. Sky on August 21, 2021 at 12:59 am

I like how you organized the herbs by category, annual, and not. Be careful using bare hands, you might run through earthwarms kkkk. I have to grow theses inside so it’s very hard…

  50. Maria on August 21, 2021 at 12:59 am

    what happened to lavender?
