Kind of off topic but, seriously, how do you get your hands clean after working in soil and mulch all day? My hands are atrocious by the end of the day and as much as you are in it, you must have some kind of magic soap/cream/goo that works wonders.

  2. Wendy G on April 20, 2022 at 6:26 pm

I was wondering if you can do an episode on how to harvest and preserve seeds on the plants flowers and veggies you plant

  3. M Diaz on April 20, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Thank you Laura! I started seeds for the first time this year after watching you. I have my florettes seeds and my gardeners supply self watering trees! And the vermiculite on top. Can you do a quick video every couple of weeks to talk about how your seeds are progressing? Right now I have a lot of germination, but this is where things usually go bad for me LOL Iโ€™m hoping the vermiculite will help withThe dampening off. How do you harden off your seats? Iโ€™m excited to see things grow!

Do you have a favorite plant that you grow from seeds?

  4. CinnZimm 67 on April 20, 2022 at 6:32 pm

Iโ€™m always motivated to do something after watching one of your videos. I donโ€™t always do, though ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have you considered building some shorter pull-out tables to fit under your cold frame tables? Store your seeding mix, empty seed starting trays, plus a place to move your trays to when you need to start hardening off without having to rearrange your current inventory or place on the ground.

  5. Denise J on April 20, 2022 at 6:33 pm

Thanks for all you share, Laura and Aaron: all things green and growing (knowledge, expertise, inspiration and enthusiasm) and your family (always love seeing the kids and cats). Samantha Grace is perfectly precious. Benjamin is so enjoyable. Benjamin at 14:40 made me chuckle! Oh to be comfortable in the positions he finds! He seems to have a bright mind and personality. Also, your videography is excellent! Thanks for all the extra steps: drone, several angles, etc. (Loved the clip of Laura and Benjamin w one of the cats.)

  6. Gina Gilbert on April 20, 2022 at 6:36 pm

I write everything down to organize myself…glad to see Iโ€™m not the only one!๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Mike Ortiz on April 20, 2022 at 6:36 pm

How on earth do you have the time for all this ? The calendars, lists, labels, plans, newborn, toddler… WOW! You are goals!

  8. Abigail Joiner on April 20, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Yay!! Would you be willing to do a more in-depth video about grow lights? I bought some for the first time this year and all the different kinds and settings are overwhelming. I’d love to learn about all the different colors/light frequencies, level of brightness, how to place them, etc. Also, is it possible to turn any lamp into a grow light with the correct bulb? Thank you!

I’m so impressed that you could remember what all of those different flowers would look like!

  11. Kathy Mickle on April 20, 2022 at 6:40 pm

Weโ€™re you saying stalks? At the end of the video what flower is that.

  12. Antonia Stridsberg on April 20, 2022 at 6:42 pm

Is the cut flower garden going to be a lot bigger this year, considering the huge amount of seeds?

  13. AcPh7669 on April 20, 2022 at 6:43 pm

So cute how Benjamin is helping and eating sticky things near all the dirt and cat fur! ๐Ÿคฃ

  14. Simply Homemade and Homegrown on April 20, 2022 at 6:45 pm

As that basil grows, you can root the branches that are cut and you will have new plants!

    So Exciting …๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ

  32. Megan Lloyd on April 20, 2022 at 7:01 pm

Do you ever listen to music or podcasts or throw a show on while you’re doing some of these longer tasks where you’re in one spot, or do you revel in the quiet?

  33. Weeping Willow on April 20, 2022 at 7:02 pm

Hahaha! So it’s not just me who can sense that my cat is nearby. Sometimes I will be sitting on my bed browsing the internet or doing something else and I will suddenly feel like my cat is in the hallway staring at me. And a lot of times she actually WILL be there staring at me when I look over. Or when I can hear the soft tip-tap of her paws coming in the room.

  34. Dorothy Miller on April 20, 2022 at 7:04 pm

Hello, I am amazed at how much you are able to start and keep up with, very inspiring! I am new to seed starting and I keep my house on the cooler side (64-66F) and I have a simple indoor greenhouse for my seedlings. Should I keep the humidity domes on the seedling trays with the greenhouse door zipped up or would that create too much humidity? Best wishes, Dorothy

  35. Karie R on April 20, 2022 at 7:04 pm

Wow that’s alot of seeds!!!! You must have tons of room to grow this many seeds. Will you have to plant all of this yourself out in the cut flower garden?

  36. Bettina Plomp on April 20, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I have my first tray ever filled with seeds,16 cells total and I am so excited to see how they will do!

  37. Chime L on April 20, 2022 at 7:06 pm

    Hi Laura,

    Longtime viewer, first time commenter!
I know youโ€™ve recommended fans, letting soil dry out, and sticky traps to control fungus gnat populations, but what do you think about boiling soil? Thanks!

  38. whatagreat life2005 on April 20, 2022 at 7:07 pm

I clicked on this video because I wanted to see your little helper!

  39. Addie Christensen on April 20, 2022 at 7:07 pm

I planted some seeds indoors and some of them are growing mold in the soil. What caused this and how do I fix and prevent it from happening??

  40. Benson Marshall on April 20, 2022 at 7:08 pm

If the Hybiscus with the red leaves is in fact H. acetosella it’s totally edible! Tastes like sorel…

  41. Gail Dunn on April 20, 2022 at 7:09 pm

Hate autocorrect !!!!! I said tray not Trafford.

  42. My Future Pug Life on April 20, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Oh wow! That’s alot! Great job too. I have only 3 / 72 cell seed starting trays or whatever u call them and I’ve been stuck. Afraid that I’ll mess up and I keep running back in here to watch more videos and see if I have everything I need. I don’t want to waste time, money, and energy. All I’ve done is revive some indoor plants with new soil and bigger better pots because I can do that with confidence but I’m brand new at seed starting.

  43. April Crenshaw on April 20, 2022 at 7:12 pm

When growing veggies and fruit in pots, have you heard of adding sand into soil? Iโ€™m debating to try this..

  44. Lidia Style on April 20, 2022 at 7:13 pm

  45. Kelsey Rice on April 20, 2022 at 7:14 pm

A lot of work but so rewarding.

  46. Eva Sonntagskind on April 20, 2022 at 7:15 pm

Iโ€™d love to know about all the pretty plants we see behind you. Any chance we could get a coldframe-tour?

  47. IndoorIvan on April 20, 2022 at 7:16 pm

I was curious if your milkweed seeds were pre-treated or something. I always assumed they needed a period of cold moist stratification to germinate?

  48. Elaine Elmore on April 20, 2022 at 7:18 pm

Did you chill Rudbeckia or do you keep your seeds in fridge?

  49. Cheryl Beichner on April 20, 2022 at 7:21 pm

Wow. Thatโ€™s a big job! The rewards will be awesome!

  50. Thea Cripps on April 20, 2022 at 7:22 pm

It is SO MUCH FUN to see you tackle these large projects!! I was on a trip yesterday and couldn’t wait to get home to catch up on what I’d missed. I know this is a lot of work for you guys but you make it look like fun I don’t want to miss out on.
