MY TOP 3 PLANT APPS EVERY PLANT PARENT NEEDS | Reviewing Every Free House Plant and Gardening App
These are the best plant apps for plant enthusiasts! I rank my favorite free plant apps, which includes plant care apps, plant identification apps, gardening apps, and other houseplant apps for plant advice and community. Some of the planting apps I review include Planta, Vera, Florish, PlantNet, Seed to Spoon, Grow It, Garden Answers, Plant Snap, Plant ID and many more. These apps provide all sorts of plant tips for your indoor and outdoor plants and gardens. This includes plant care scheduling (such as water and fertilizer reminders), plant id from a picture to find the scientific or common name of a plant, plant databases, crowdsourced plant advice, garden tips and more. I downloaded every FREE plant app and gardening app for iPhones and tried them all until I found clear winners in several categories.

Obviously these are just my top choices based on my experience with the app but any plant app you prefer can help you track and organize your houseplants! Let me know if you use any other plant apps that I haven’t mentioned, I’d love to try them (but I probably already did so I’d love to share my thoughts with you LOL!) I don’t appreciate the attitude that it’s OK to pay for the plants and not for the apps. Can you imagine the hours, weeks, months of effort put to develop these apps? Compare that to the time needed to grow a plant. And how much did that cost you? Don’t you think such help is worth at least as much as one of the plants?
Could you possibly post a link to the Planta App? I live in Europe and sometimes finding apps in the euro app store is bizarre. The Results I get searing on my own don’t seem to include the Planta you are recommending but a different app of the same name with way less usefulness

Iโve not had much luck with any of the plant apps. I have a herbaceous garden, so identifying plants in the spring and reseeding plants throughout the season would be helpful. Unfortunately until the plants are nearly full grown these apps tend to miss-identify nearly everything. Most often these apps will identify plants as basil. That seems to be the go to answer for most apps Iโve tried.
Too much talk before going to the main point. Waste of time.

I’m trying some now because I have too many to keep track of. Planta, PlantIn, and Greg. So far I think Greg is my favorite although not free. Planta seems nice but I don’t know how accurate it is. It tells me all my plants are my patio aren’t getting enough sun and they get morning direct sun and its open so its basically all windows. It also has some REALLY wonky times. Like if I listened to their schedule my plants would be a wilted over crisp. Things I waster several times a week says leave it alone for 2 weeks. But I am still going to give it a try and see which I like best. But pretty sure its going to be Greg which is new.
Planta is great! I’m sure it has saved a couple of my plants from wilting away. Great video, I subscribed ๐
