Hope you are doing well! I was so excited to see a new video! You have such nice handwriting and Iโ€™d love to have that kind of patience and time to put into doing a cute little journal like that. It will be such a beautiful thing to look back on. Great job! โ˜บ๏ธ

Hi Jess! Have you ever done a journal for your succulents? I’m starting one of my own and I’m trying to find ideas of how I want to organize it. Hope you’re doing well!

Hello Jess, nice to see you trying to keep busy during these trying times. I have been in shut in almost two weeks and now , the governor just ordered a mandatory shut in for at least four more weeks. I donโ€™t know if you remember, I care for my mother and it has been hard to think if mom is sick ,I really canโ€™t take her to any hospital. What a great idea you have to begin a garden journal. I can begin a garden journal with my mother, who is a true green thumb person and it will be fun to learn her secrets, lol. Stay safe

Hey, Jess! I’m happy to hear your voice. You sound much stronger in your voice. I hope that is the case.
I love your journal! I did that when we had a garden space big enough to need to do that. I’m stuck in town and now and the lot our house sits on is very small. The backyard is all concrete with the exception of a small maybe 3’x12′ area by our back fence and another 3’x6′ area by the back of our house. My hopes were to build 6 or 7 boxes to garden in. I want them on wheels of some sort so they can be moved as the sun moves. Our house faces the south so it’s shaded right behind it, now but as the months move on, the sun moves more towards the north and there are trees, lots of big beautiful trees, along the fence in our neighbor’s backyard. We don’t have alleys in this part of town so the trees are right there. The area is long and narrow behind the house, so, the shade from the house and then those trees really does matter when trying to grow veggies or anything else, for that matter. I really haven’t wanted to do much back there because all that concrete either makes it really cold in the winter or hot hot hot ๐Ÿ”ฅ in the summer. I think if I could put those large gardening boxes back there that it would help to cover some of that concrete and keep it a little bit cooler than it has been. I have lots of ideas but not lots of energy to do them and my husband is 72 and his knees are really bad and he won’t get them fixed! Grrr!!! I wish I could get my medical issues fixed with a surgery and some rehab! I would do it in a heartbeat!!! Anyway, I digress…๐Ÿคฃ Husbands!
So, I am building a new flower bed in the front yard. It’s right in the middle of it and I’m making it have small hills and valleys and I’m excited to see it all come together. I have some of my plants for it but I am excited to be able to go shop for some more. It will be pretty much perineals in it. Once I get it planted up I just want to tend it and not plant too much each year.
Our weather has frustrated me in it’s normal fashion. All the trees here have buffed out and it’s been so nice and warm. Then, last night and tonight we have below freezing temps. Not much fruit is going to make it past these 25ยฐ temps. Then, we warm back up and in 2 days we have lows in the upper 40s and better. Ugh!!! It does this almost every year! It takes a special breed to live here and a crazy person to want to garden in this mess! Oh, and did I mention the wind? Haha!!! We are more windy than almost anywhere in the world! No joke! Look up Amarillo, TX on a wind map. It’s ridiculous! We had one day with 90+ mph gusts last year and several with 70 and 80 mph gusts. Enough of my whining. Once the spring settles in and it’s hot, the wind games down to a breeze of 10 to 20 mph most of the time.
I’m doing pretty good with being home through all this. I don’t go out and do much anyway so this hasn’t cramped my style too much. I know it’s been very difficult for so many and they are in my prayers. I know it’s bound to end, sooner than later. It’s just a hard time.
    Here’s a scripture I found in Isaiah…
    I hope it’s encouraging.
This is God speaking through the prophet, Isaiah.
Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.
    Isaiah 26:20 NKJV
Be blessed and thanks for sharing your beautiful journal with us. You did a great job on it!!!โค๐Ÿ™‚
