For years, New York City native David Kass has been quietly transforming empty tree pits into stunning micro gardens. He says he was thanked by people in the city during the pandemic for bringing greenery and flowers into their lives. “Where else can you get a hobby that so many people can appreciate?” he asks.     Hobby or not we have gardeners in our city who are paid to do this type of work BUT it isn’t as beautiful and personalized as this…the city should at least pay for the supplies
