  8. Jennifer Roberts on March 1, 2022 at 11:10 pm

lovely video as always Jenna! Thank you. Another note on the Rhubarb the twist-off from the crown harvest method will also encourage more stalks to grow. This will also work for Asparagus.

Hi, fellow southwestern ohioan here. You garden is beautiful. I always struggle with weeds in my garden every year. This year was a total loss. I am considering converting the whole garden into multiple raised beds. Any reason why this would not be a good idea? Thank you

  17. EcoCentric Homestead on March 1, 2022 at 11:25 pm

If you haven’t put the chicken wire around yet, A wattle fence would do better I think. Would be cheaper and look rustic/natural.

I like to grow a senshu type Japanese overwintering onion called ‘Imai early yellow’ from Kitazawa seed co. It does well for me zone 5b wv…

  24. Malachi Blundon on March 1, 2022 at 11:32 pm

  25. Ashley Ricker on March 1, 2022 at 11:32 pm

Question how did you go about the onions you had planted in the fall did you plant a bulb or by seed or did you start them from seed and then planted them??

  26. Mama Grahams on March 1, 2022 at 11:33 pm

How do you save your toothache plant or how do you use it?

  29. Rhetta Jack on March 1, 2022 at 11:35 pm

All gardening is a trial, we plant 40 some vegetables every year because every year some do good, some fail. But we always have plenty of things to eat.

  30. Albert A on March 1, 2022 at 11:37 pm

Thanks for great video! Have you grown corn?

  31. Carol Keller on March 1, 2022 at 11:37 pm

Oh my goodness, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Your garden is so productive and attractive. I have subscribed and I will be binge watching a few of your old video’s. Lovely to meet you. Janice

  34. Andrea Kosmicki on March 1, 2022 at 11:44 pm

Love the update! I tried container potatoes for the first time this season after watching your video. They are doing great!

  35. Josh Baker on March 1, 2022 at 11:44 pm

The garden looks great, we keep trying every year to do better but never enough time and things get out of control somewhere. We had enough tomatoes get destroyed by slugs that our compost pile was full of volunteers that we used them as a cover crop for a few beds. Where do you get your purple potatoes from?

  36. Trudy Mautz on March 1, 2022 at 11:45 pm

Wow, just found your channel. I am also a zone 6, very tippy top of NJ (the nice part!!! lol) Can I be your best friend? So many great things growing in your garden, and your parents also. I long for a garden that size. I live on a lake, and use every inch of my 3/4 acre property. Lots of great information in here, especially the raz mataz grapes, would love to try them in a pot. Thanks for your videos.

  37. Shawn G on March 1, 2022 at 11:46 pm

Have you figured out what your mystery cucurbit is at 23:09 yet? We had one pop up and the leaves don’t look quite like any of the things that I’ve ever planted.

  38. Eric Mastenbrook on March 1, 2022 at 11:47 pm

Onions and chives over winter here in West Michigan (6b) without a problem. I’ve also had kale and strawberry spinach make it through, about which I was shocked.

  39. Eric Mastenbrook on March 1, 2022 at 11:48 pm

I’ve been plagued with 3-lined potato beetles (basically cucumber beetles) and I started spraying with Monterey Garden Insect Spray. It knocked them back really well. I’ll still see one or two but they were absolutely infested before I started spraying. And their little gooey booger larvae that was all over the place has disappeared.

  40. Gerald Croft on March 1, 2022 at 11:50 pm

Make Orwell fiction again” did you buy that on the “ we are change channel?” I subbed because of that , love it!

  46. Kc C on March 1, 2022 at 11:55 pm

Thanks for making these videos! I’ve been looking for a zone 6a gardener (I’m in Michigan) to follow along. I’ll be watching what you do during Autumn for ideas

  47. Betty 1966 on March 1, 2022 at 11:55 pm

Love the shirt. Had to subscribe for the amazing garden 💯
I left onions out with kale, no protection. They went through heavy snows n all., I had delicious kale , but the onions stayed small. They survived though

  48. rebecca Kaczmarek on March 1, 2022 at 11:58 pm

Interesting…I thought the potato seed idea was a hoax. Good to know.

  49. Rachelnal on March 1, 2022 at 11:59 pm

Im new to your channel and I really enjoyed your video so I subscribed. I also live in the same zone as you and have been looking for youtube gardeners that live in the same zone as me and I found you. Ive watched many videos over the years of gardeners in different zones and even though their knowledge is wonderful its not the same as what is needed for our zone with our winters and frost dates, and even pest/disease issues. Looking forward to hunting through your past videos to learn more! Thanks for sharing 😊

That’s an inspirational garden! Especially for someone who could not veg garden this year. Got some great ideas for next year.
