Hi, I’m just down in Airdrie. I had really good luck with the Clemson spineless okra last year. Probably due to the heat wave and they were also in the greenhouse. You NEED to try “mashed potatoes” acorn squash. I got the seeds from West Coast seeds. They taste SO GOOD and very prolific. It honestly taste like mashed potatoes with a just a little bit hint of squash. The plant is also very compact, just a bit bigger than a zucchini plant. I know you already have a lot of tomato varieties (I have the same problem😆) but you need to check out Casey’s heirloom tomatoes. He’s also from Airdrie and he offers some unique tomato varieties. I do like to source tomato seeds locally as I find that they grow better as they have already adjusted to our growing zone. I would love to see a video of all the vegetable and flower varieties you’re growing this year! ☺️

Hi from Manitoba! Agree not much for growing zone 3. I buy most of my seeds from T&T seeds.

Shifting Roots (Zone 3), Broad Meadow Farm (Zone 3) and Little Mountain Ranch (Zone ?) are good Canadian channels….I thing two of the three post mostly during growing season. My first year growing in Central Alberta….hoping for a enjoyable experience.

Your growing zone would kill me. Have you thought about a greenhouse or large poly tunnel? I don’t know anything about them bc I’m in Atlanta lol. The pumpkins look exciting! This prob sounds superficial but I wish Johnny’s had better packaging..or maybe not bc then we’d hoard more seeds

I’m in Zone 3 as well, in Sask! It’s so nice to be able to see someone in the same zone as me!

I’m in the U.P. of Michigan, supposedly zone 4, but most of our weather systems come across Lake Superior from the NW. Our growing season is June 4 – Sept 16, and I do get a lot of winter kill on zone 4 plants if they are not protected. For the first time last year I was able to start seeds in a small tent style greenhouse and those plants did way better than any seeds started in the house in the past, as well as seeds direct sown in the same bed. Overall my luck is better with zone 3 plants, so love your channel.

Hi from BC! We love West Coast Seeds, they’ve got a lot of winter/cold-hardy plants. Something I learned from a lady in Colorado many years ago was to save your 4L milk or juice jugs (provided they are clear-ish) as mini-greenhouses. Since starting this way, I have never had to harden off my plants and I can extend my growing season ever so slightly! I watched her just pop them out onto the snow and not touch them for like 6 weeks and they just thrived. Transplant end of May/June as usual!
