JACKFRUIT MISSION IN CAIRNS AUSTRALIA: MAXIMUM ABUNDANCE FOR MINIMAL EFFORT
JACKFRUIT MISSION IN CAIRNS AUSTRALIA: MAXIMUM ABUNDANCE FOR MINIMAL EFFORT
FREE EBOOKLET http://www.sweetnaturalliving.com Harvesting your own fruit is pretty darn awesome! It’s exhilarating! This is us gathering a few jackfruits in Cairns, Australia. In a graveyard!
Jackfruit is possibly the biggest fruit in the world. Not easy to harvest due to the fact that it is so huge. This particular tree is a soft variety of jackfruit, so if it falls on the ground when it’s treeripened, it goes ker-splash, and you have instant lunch.
You can pick jackfruits when they are hard on the tree though, they will ripen up and be pretty amazing if they weren’t picked too early of course.
The most awesome part of this is too see how perfect our anatomy and physiology is for this kind of work. We’re frugivores! We are apes, and we’ve evolved together with tree fruits for millions of years. We’re the perfect fruit hunters. We can smell the ripe fruit, and usually see color differences. The sugar of the ripe fruit appeals to our palate. It’s obvious; we’re meant to do this!
Go out there and forage some fruit on your own, to get that primal ape-man feeling 🙂

this is so amazing. really opened my eyes. here in Canada there are no fruits to eat in abundance. you can find a few berries here and there, but nothing growing naturally. my dream is to move to a country such as this where I can eat fruit in abundance. so fantastic.
iam hungry, is my favorite

Как же мерзко выглядит этот бабуин.
What months of year in Aus. Is available?
I’d keep going back as the others ripen. That tree could feed you for a while.
Omg amazing. Frugt fra de døde!
If you eat loads of fruit doesn’t the sugar and acidity wreck you’re teeth?

Back when i used to live in jamaica we boiled the seeds with little salt and they taste Delicious!!!!!!! try and thank me later
I know where that is haha haha haha. More jackfruit for me 🙂
you can make curry with a green jackfuit. And boil the seeds to eat just like boiled peanuts. try it!!!
I enjoy tropical fruits and veganism but I’m definitely not into eating the fruit off the ground.
It appears you carry small packs on your back, why not just climb the tree with one of your packs empty and descend the tree with the fruit in the pack instead of dropping the fruit from the tree and risk compromising the fruit? Tactically speaking it makes more sense to me. Best wishes to you
the fruit is already rotten, you guys still eating it?
It looks like Bengal variety of jackfruits. Someone in the past might have brought the seeds to Australia.
How many srilankans live this area ? ❤️
omg that’s huge
bats more than likely had a go at the first one
So happy for you!
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
Just a suggestion on how to harvest jackfruits without hurting the fruits. (1) climb or through ladder, put a big rattan basket under it, tie the handle of the basket like a pulley, cut off the fruit, and slowly lower the basket with the fruit inside. (2) gather old mattresses, put it under the tree where the fruits are to be harvested, so when the fruits dropped, the old mattress will cushion it.
guys, i am so pumped. today I got jackfruit at my Asian Market. It is delicious. Yall never said how sticky it can be…goodness. I also got to try mangosteen. peace
Good Ol Cairns, we used to survive on the mangoes up there, remember many folk wandering round looking for a feed, dont forget to thank the God who created you and everything, he watered it and keeps it for you, especially at this time, but remember that his name is reverent and holy, that is Jesus Christ, oh and by the way you can thank him, cheers and God bless you both
Growing fruit trees is an excellent way to honor the deceased. I wish jack fruit grew in my geographical position. Unfortunately there are cold winters that would kill a jack fruit tree planted outside in my location. I do however have three fruit trees in my yard. The fruit trees growing in my yard are an apple, pear, and crab apple. Excellent video.
And yes jackfruit in our country ohho we have variety of jackfruit all are juicy and Super sweet with flavour in Bangladesh
If you love fruits please come to my country

This is the way humans are meant to be …. Searching in the sun for fruit
you are so Disgusting when you eat and your hair
i just planted a Jackfruit tree, next to my stream.
the soil is fertilized by the bodies probably!
You won’t believe it guys but I picked a huge jackfruit from the exact tree that you went to. Me and my mate were on a huge road trip and I had to stop at this cemetery to pick one up because I had seen this video a long time ago. I used the mountains as a reference in this video to find it XD.
Apparently people around the world are starting to grow this food as a way to cure world hunger since you can grow two crops a season and each crop has a couple dozen fruits. Plus the seeds can be roasted and ground up into powder.
what cemetery in cairns is this? I’d love to go and grab some of the fruits
Does anyone know what variety of jack fruit this was? is a black gold?
