Hi there! You didn’t talk about the little plastic domes. Do you suggest using them on top of the growing seeds?

do you know how these actually work tho? we have the black one you have, and unless the water is at exactly 5L its not even touching the pods/sponges. and the pump just blows water straight up between pods 2 and 4 also not touching any of the pods or sponges. there are no tubes hoses that bring water up to allow it to touch the sponge and trickle back down into the bay. so… how?

I have a question 🤔.
I bought one yesterday but another model. It only has 4 bottons (on/off) , (fan/water), (vegetales) , (flower/fruit). I used squash and recao seeds do I need to turn it on and off? Or it does that automatically once is set? I have read the instructions over and over again and I’m still confused.

How do you change the timer time?
I just got this system for my birthday, and this video was super useful! Another idea for the straws – use them to get your seeds into the pods.

Thanks for the video. I’m certainly going to try red romano. One tip to share back with you having seen the challenge of recapturing the soaked seeds… I placed my seeds on a piece of kitchen roll before lowering them into a shallow dish of water. After the hour it was simply a case of lifting the kitchen roll to retrieve them.
I gifted one of these to my wife for Christmas, the water is full at 4L but the water pump is pumping water up higher that the water level with a constant water splash sound, I do not hear that sound in yours, I am not sure if the pump should just be moving the water and not making it jump up? Should I adjust the pump to not do that? In manual says "if water sound is too loud is because water is below 1.5L", but i have 4L, so i guess pump is not properly aligned.

Can you re-use the peat moss plugs each year? What can you use instead of plant food A & B?
Just started by hydroponics garden. I planted 3 seeds per pod. Herbs and cherry tomatoes. After 2 weeks some have a couple stems. Should I pull out the other stems and leave one or just let them grow? If I should pull them, when should I do it? Now or wait a few weeks? Thanks!
I really like your intro logo, btw. I’m totally new to hydroponics. I bought the idoo 7 pot set for my husband but after about a year I ended up setting it up myself. Thanks for these videos. I was also watching someone who shows how she grows kale from start to harvest in her homemade system and I picked up a few tips:
1. She doesn’t soak her seeds first (my Idoo instructions didn’t say to). She uses a wet toothpick to grab a seed and put it in the hole.
2. She has the water level lower as the plant grows so that it has to reach for the water, I guess.
3. She doesn’t put them under lights until after they’ve germinated.

This is so helpful! I got the exact same system last month but my instructions were different. They didn’t tell me to soak the seeds and only said 3 or 4 seeds per pod. It’s been 3 weeks and the only thing that’s grown is algae 🙁 Will try following your system!

Hi, i have a problem with this system that i bought 3 days ago. Yesterday morning i started the system at 10am, so this morning i woke up and at 10am i was expecting to see the led turn on automatically. I don’t know why but it never happened, i had to restart the system in order to switch the lights on. Did you find any problems with the LED timer too? Thank you so much 😀

Unrelated, but your fish is starved of oxygen. It keeps gulping at the air on the surface. Put an aerator in the tank.
