I want to start a vegetable garden once my husband and I buy a house. It won’t be for a while, but I’ve already been trying to plan things out. I love the aesthetics of garden beds, but they’ve just seemed like a lot of work to put together and maintain. Your video was THE MOST helpful in terms of showing us how to put together a functional, aesthetic garden bed without much work at all, and the wood can be easily taken out and replaced if anything starts to rot. So thank you!

You said it became swampy when you put the plastic around to reduce grass growing. Did you put plastic at the bottom also or just on the edges?

Just as you would with other people, after saying you are sorry you must ask to be forgiven. There is no special prayer you have to pray to earn forgiveness from God. All you have to do is ask him to forgive you, through Jesus Christ, and believe that he will forgive you.❤️ God bless you all. God loves you and so do I.

Won’t those blocks just shift around? Or did you secure them with a steel spike, or something? I starting building a garden bed with them as it seemed a very good idea, but they are not stable at all and I think when I put the dirt in it will move the entire bed.

  19. Life success on August 20, 2021 at 12:18 am

My stepdad created raised beds for people in our local area as COVID made things hard. But nothing like fresh vegetables!

@2:18 Pressure Treated Lumber – just want to point out that many have a consensus that this is not recommended for a garden in which food will be consumed. the chemicals used in the wood can leak into the soil and the plants and then be eaten by you. while the EPA banned the use of arsenic in pressure treated woods in 2003 the newer pressure treated lumber still contain ACQ and cba (pesticide and fungicide). To be truly organic the use of pressure treated lumber is banned by many state depts of agriculture, so might be something to seriously consider for your own health.

  23. 키아라 on August 20, 2021 at 12:24 am

I know this video is old but what can I use to help hold plants up once they get large? My tomatoes have started leaning and I plan on planting some corn I don’t want it to bend and break the stems.

Are you in Australia? I wanna start a veges garden here too and i dunno what soil to use. sigh. 😔

  25. Shannon Cooper on August 20, 2021 at 12:27 am

Tip for the glass, lay down card board boxes as it removes sunlight so the glass can not grow and the roots can grow through the cardboard

  26. Sofia Castano Largo on August 20, 2021 at 12:29 am

Awesome video! I do have a question, if I didn’t make compost what can I replace that with?

  27. America Daniel on August 20, 2021 at 12:30 am

Nice video but lumber prices have risen so that’s not going to help

THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VID, MY DADA IS TRYING TO BUILD A GARDEN TO AND I CAN SHOW HIM THIS VID

  35. titus4166 on August 20, 2021 at 12:35 am

Just a thing to consider, and I’m not a beginner gardener, but an advanced gardener; but be careful to consider the “helpful” insects that help with growth like honey bees, lady bugs, soldier beetles, green lacewings, praying mantis. Using miracle-gro products kills most beneficial insects to your garden, because it has so much different crap in it. Always best to go with an organic soil to help attract those beneficial insects to your garden. Most Gardeners forget that insect life are a part of garden health and growth and forget to consider the benefits of insects. I use lady bugs to ward off any mites on my roses and tomato plants. And yes, you can buy lady bugs, just be sure that the ones you get are native to your area.

I have wanted to garden for years… I decided I’m going to just go for it now. My only issue is.. I’m terrified of all types of bugs! 😬😂 I could have an indoor garden, but I really wanted the feel for an outdoor one. I guess I need to suck it up lol!

  38. Plants with Ty on August 20, 2021 at 12:39 am

What is the size of the wood used?

  39. Jesenia Figueroa on August 20, 2021 at 12:40 am

God died on cross for us to be free of sin. You probably heard that a lot.. but the message has a (deeper meaning) hell was created for devil and demons but we fell into sin of our sinful nature and if we die in sin we go to hell as a punishment. Now God isn’t being unfair, it’s a punishment for our DEEDS not God, plus how can He be unfair and unloving if HE Chose to give us another chance and gave us the best gift of ETERNAL LIFE. Notice how I said ~Chose~ not because He had to but because HE CHOSE TO. He didn’t choose to save devil or demons but for you. HE LOVES US THAT MUCH! He is our GOD and Jesus is coming soon!!!☦️✝️😊

I’m trying to eat healthy and was thinking maybe I should start gardening and plant my own vegetables instead of buying it every week.

Can we make these raised beds on asphalt? Live in the city where grass is rare 🙂
