Awesome videos man! Because of your videos, I was inspired of starting my own. Do you have any problems of one variety not thriving in the pot? I understand that some variety grows faster than others. And some just overcomes others root system.

Your videos are so informative! Is it safe to transplant to a trellis pot while the DF is budding?

  15. Dave Devilla on February 13, 2022 at 10:41 pm

I live in South Florida, Miami in particular, is that kind of trellis holds during high winds?

  16. Anna Dewey on February 13, 2022 at 10:41 pm

I love that you can plant multiple varieties in the same pot / but I worry that I won’t know which is which when it’s mature, so I won’t know which ones are self-sterile or self-fertile. Do you label those top branches when they hang over the top of the trellis so that you know which is which??

  21. kennynang on February 13, 2022 at 10:44 pm

i started DF 2 yrs ago and I have my first DF fruits watching your inspiration videos. Lessons learned is that I should use 20 gallons to yield a bigger fruits. I also use 15 gallons that they have smaller fruits. The Fox farm soil is great. Any suggestions where to buy 20 gallons plastic pot cheap and Fox Farm ocean forest soil in southern california?

Super nice educational video! Hey Richard, where did you buy your 20/25 gallon pots? Many thanks!

  25. David Latif on February 13, 2022 at 10:47 pm

On average how long does it take before the Dragon Fruit actually starts growing up the trellis. I’m sure the roots have to develop first. I just recently built two trellises used your plans. Planted cuttings from small pots I used to start the root growth. I put a small mark on the trellis as a starting point.

  26. Hoa Nguyen on February 13, 2022 at 10:47 pm

I think in few more years the roots don’t have enough space to grow

Thanks for the video. I have about 4 dragon fruit plants that are struggling. I think I need to repot , then once better established repot them in a trellis. you are in southern Cali correct?

  40. David Chu on February 13, 2022 at 11:08 pm

You must spent a fortune on soils alone.

  41. Mildred Crowl on February 13, 2022 at 11:09 pm

Once you repot your dragon fruits, do you repot them again to a much bigger pots? Or do you just leave it in the 20 gallon pot?

  42. Bart Ritota on February 13, 2022 at 11:13 pm

I purchased dragon fruit plants online. When I got them they were about 1" tall. I planted them in a pot now they are nearly a foot tall the longest and all the babies are between 1" and assorted lengths. It is like a cactus plant growing and pointing in all directions. What do I do now? Do I cut them off their roots and put them in single pots until they are tall enough to go on their own in a single 20 gallon pot. Do not want to make a mistake now that they have grown this tall from 1"

  43. eli kho on February 13, 2022 at 11:13 pm

First time I watch dragon fruit video, can you tell me how to make the trellis, including the cemented anchor please..
