Can broccoli be grown indoors? Every year, I have to deal with the white butterflies and I would rather not use harsh chemicals on the broccoli to kill the butterflies and have it end up hurting us. Thank you for the video

Those plants are going to fight over the nutrition and kill each other in the process. You can grow indoors but its better to have a green house where you can vent the air out to cool down the unit. True story.

If you use Worm tea or liquid seaweed you don’t really get any scent from fertilizer. I find the worm tea is great if you don’t want to use chemical fertilizers indoors, as it has no smell.

I do this despite having a garden, since I can’t have flowers inside due to allergies. Food takes their place instead and it looks just as good as any potted plants.

Buddha said Hunger is the worst kind of illness. All the farmers must lead others and train them to grow vegetables in pots and fruit bearing trees as Ashoka did all over his empire. All beings can lead happy lives like free birds.

  28. _Paws_ on January 5, 2022 at 6:02 pm

In bonsai, I learn to put a mesh-screen at the bottom; it works the same for using rocks or broken pots for drainage. It also prevents dirt and the finer substrate from being washed out through the hole(s) compare to the other methods.

I think this is a really good system, but I prefer a system that takes care of itself and optimizes use of nutrients and grow space.Check this out if your interested!

Can you start them off as seeds when growing indoors?

  31. Darlene's Garden Channel on January 5, 2022 at 6:06 pm

For the last couple years I’ve started my garden indoors in February/March to plant out. But this year I brought plants back in to try overwintering. Challenge is keeping kitty that loves to climb, out of the dirt / or keep her from knocking things over.

I keep looking for info for vegetable and herb gardening in my apartment. I cannot find any videos that are not operating under the assumption that all apartments come with huge south facing picture windows, heated garages, and huge covered patios. I’m looking for growing indoors using growlights. I have zero outdoor space and no south facing windows. Where’s the video for that? This video had good info and I enjoyed it, but it just doesn’t work for me.
