How To Grow Guavas – 3 Delicious Guava Varieties For You!

The Guava tree is a tropical plant that produces delicious and healthy fruits. In today’s video we look at 3 popular guava varieties and how to care for the guava plants in your garden. The three varieties of guavas that are growing in our garden are:
1. Mexican White Guava
2. Ruby Red Guava
3. White Arabian Guava

    Funny, here in California the only β€œMexican” guava I have seen is Mexican cream. Mexican cream is usually between a golf ball and a baseball in size. I have over 40 types and keep my eyes open for them.

    The color is pink not red on the yellow guava. I prefer the green big ones better with white layers. The yellow ones are too soft on the inner layer and most times have worms inside of them.

    In case you didn’t know, the young shoots make really good and medicinal teas. Just boiled some fresh shoots for a few minutes. Supposed to help stomach problems and headaches if I’m not mistaken.

    Hi, Thanks for video. I have a Guava tree that is 4 feet tall. Its growing but lot of leaves are turning yellow suddenly. Not sure what is the cause. Could this be due to too much sun? We give decent amount of water. We are in bay area, so now slowly its getting hotter.

    I live in Florida zone 9-10 and have a strawberry guava tree that now is 7ft. tall and has produced many flowers and guava in various years. I have a problem with squirrels getting them before I do!! Same with the avacado ‘s. I love the taste of the strawberry guava.I have heard that the pink fruited variety is the sweetest! TY for the advice on pruning!

    In Mexico you can find delicious Guavas like the Arabian kind or more delicious. You should make a trip to Mexico so you can taste them
