How to Get ALMOST Free Seeds for Your 2021 Garden! Frugal Gardening Tip

Welcome, everyone.
Welcome to the incredibly addictive world of seed trading!

*** I’ll answer any questions in the comments below!***

Today, I’m going over the basics of trading seeds; the what, why, how, who, and when’s.
If you want to greatly expand your seed collection, or if you NEED seeds for 2021 and are having a hard time getting by due to COVID and its effect on your job or income, fret not.

Many seed suppliers/growers have been hit hard due to this pandemic, and there’s been a huge surge in gardening across developed countries.

This means that there will be a LOWER supply, which has already taken a hit due to HIGH demand in 2020. Many online seed companies were backlogged with orders for weeks, even months! Don’t expect this to resolve by 2021; this pandemic is just getting started.

Seeds will be in short supply across retailers and seed shops, but there’s a large group of us who will hardly notice: seed traders! We find most of what we need among our very own communities.

If you cut the center panel from a paper plate, that can be used as a buffer to feed the envelope safely through the machines, as sudden bumps from the seeds themselves can catch on the entry points and tear everything up, so jacketing the area with the seeds can protect everything, with something thin but durable, like the foil that cookies/chips come in. I was thinking that for new gardeners, it would be most useful to get only a few each of all sorts of random seeds, which they would grow and save seeds from, sort of a way to get their feet wet in the spring~
