Can blow the debris into the yard?
I have rubber mulch and don’t want to blow dirt onto it

  4. P&L Garden Care on December 29, 2021 at 5:11 pm

Have to wonder why other tool vendors haven’t had an attachment like this one seems to do the trick very nicely

  5. Ashley Wright on December 29, 2021 at 5:13 pm

    Are you from New York?

  6. Mark Hannay on December 29, 2021 at 5:17 pm

Does this cause grass to grow in the bed since you are shooting the debris into the bed?

  7. Jim Shorts on December 29, 2021 at 5:20 pm

Interesting attachment. In 20 yrs of commercial mowing I never knew this existed, and I had all Stihl products including the split shaft. Prob would never use it commercially as you’re in a hurry and the trimmer works fine for this. Most customers who had nicer lawns used the green metal edging, or black plastic edging for their beds as it keeps your mulch in and the grass out.

I have a acre of lawn with 4 islands. I got pretty good at edging with my 40 volt kobolt weed wacker turning it to edge..

  10. Julius Cepeda on December 29, 2021 at 5:21 pm

Seems like a nice tool but I’m moving toward electric/battery powered tools.

  11. Dominic Mendillo on December 29, 2021 at 5:23 pm

Every tool by Stihl is great

  12. J Shepard on December 29, 2021 at 5:26 pm

It’s a great idea with some serious flaws. The trench isn’t deep enough. It’s only good if you have naked beds, meaning no mulch.

  13. Marky Mark on December 29, 2021 at 5:28 pm

Enjoy it while you can. Sthil are moving to full electric so they can rip you off making you buying batteries

  18. dwoodog on December 29, 2021 at 5:32 pm

Your supposed to walk backwards with it? I have the Kombi system, love it. Just looked on the stihl canada website, this tool is $350….expensive for what it is.

  19. Websitedr on December 29, 2021 at 5:34 pm

Edging wearing shorts, very brave move.

  20. asetico on December 29, 2021 at 5:35 pm

You have to pull it dude, the one I have you just walk with it.

  21. mrBDeye on December 29, 2021 at 5:36 pm

I used this to redefine my bed. Now I need a new mattress.

  22. Lisa Mitchell on December 29, 2021 at 5:37 pm

As a professional user this tool needs strictly used in very light soils for reducing an edge. This tool will not replace a bed edger.

  23. Audun Grundt Leine on December 29, 2021 at 5:38 pm

do you have any links where i can buy the stihl trimmer and all the attachments? @silver cymbal

I bought a house last year with existing curved beds all over with the natural edge. I paid someone last year (lots of other stuff to do!). I haven’t gotten out there this year as I’m waiting for painters to finish with the outside of the house.

My concern with these natural edges is how do I keep this from expanding year after year? Even if a 1/2 is taken off each year you end up loosing 5 inches after 10 years.

Another concern is you end up kicking the dirt out say 12 inches or so, so from the house it slopes down then piles up then back down bringing rain back toward the house in lieu of way from the house.

Am i wrong? Do I just need to fix the grading issue I have here and make sure the edge does not grow?

  26. Art Schulte on December 29, 2021 at 5:41 pm

Great job and the landscaping beds look great

  27. Barbara Epsaro on December 29, 2021 at 5:43 pm

Dude you think that changes your life. But it’s only 50%. Just look up the Darwin Bar which is a bolt on extension to your weed eater or edger. Saved my back this season.

Can you put a standard edger blade in it too and use it for along sidewalks as well?

  38. Christopher E. Pineda on December 29, 2021 at 5:55 pm

  39. L Chen on December 29, 2021 at 5:56 pm

Hard to use for a concrete edge.

  40. Susan R on December 29, 2021 at 5:57 pm

My gardens are mulched, they were edged prior to mulching, how do you suggest I keep the edges clean? Thx.

  41. Doug Finlay on December 29, 2021 at 5:58 pm

I have 75 x 50mm H4 wooden edging and cut the edges with a line trimmer. Great results also.
