How to Build a Water Feature

How to Build a Water Feature

How to build an amazing water feature for your garden!
sort of.

I did a bit of work at my Dads place, way back when I was an apprentice (2005?) My old man is a builder too, so I kinda just did what he wanted done. We built some cool stuff, and some other stuff that didn’t work out

Dude your Scottish Dad named you Scott. That’s hilarious. He’s done well for himself hasn’t he. I’ve watched nearly all your vids over the last few days and they’re brilliant. I’m a landscape gardener and handyman looking to expand my skill set so they’re incredibly useful. Keep it up!

  8. WeThePeople on April 6, 2022 at 6:22 pm

Great job in destroying a perfect working fountain who only needed a more powerful pump. You are the definition of stupidity buddy.

  18. Paul Conaghan on April 6, 2022 at 6:35 pm

    Naughty clickbait

  19. that_G_EvanP on April 6, 2022 at 6:36 pm

Hey, I just demoed two tile bathrooms built in 1955. Think tile on top of over like 1.5" of concrete on steel lathe. It was a nightmare! You having to take that grinder to the front of that water feature reminded me of it. I had to use that method and a rotary hammer with a chisel bit on it. Even an 8 pound sledgehammer wouldn’t go through it. In fact I managed to break the handle on my sledgehammer in the process. Yup, your demo was a dream compared to that.

I wish I had a dad , to where I can tear down what he built. And scrap it for 30 bucks.

  21. Mark Schofield on April 6, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Typical YouTube clickbait, you won’t learn a single thing here, crap for craps sake

  22. Yarnor The Last on April 6, 2022 at 6:37 pm

    I
I’m thinking if you had taken out the copper and installed 1" PVC and a couple 1" full port ball valves for throttling, you wouldn’t have had to remove it… Just thinking 😄

  29. Frank Fernandez on April 6, 2022 at 6:48 pm

  34. Un Perrier on April 6, 2022 at 6:51 pm

The video titled "how to build" should be titled "how to destroy" instead. It’s a bit misleading.

  35. Live like Kings on April 6, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Destruction instructions 🤙🏼 built to last.

  36. Living Improvements on April 6, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Haha, was just looking for a video about how to reinstate a long neglected water feature at our place and look who i came across. Little side project while we do the deck bro!

  37. Andy Idema on April 6, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Can you be more specific about getting the water to pump from the reservoir back out? Why didn’t it work well for you and what can be done to improve that?

  38. Red Rhino on April 6, 2022 at 6:57 pm

You should buy a dust shroud for the grinder so it connects to the vac they are pretty cheap and work like magic for dust

  39. Mr Kelly on April 6, 2022 at 6:57 pm

This is how to destroy a water feature

  40. Xz35 on April 6, 2022 at 6:58 pm

Why would you call this video, "how to build a water feature" if you not only AREN’T BUILDING ONE, but you’re showing one THAT IS ACTUALLY SHIT. Fuck you

  41. Sam's Boring Channel on April 6, 2022 at 6:58 pm

This is definitely one of my favourite scott brown carpentry videos. Feel bad for anyone that’s searched for this to find scott doing the complete opposite.

Nice shot of Lion Rock at Piha in the beginning. Too bad that black sand gets so hot and the rips are deadly there. Gorgeous beach though!
