We’ve got several tips from your channel. We really love it! We sell vacant land that can be developed into farmland. We will surely share this with our customers who would love to start farming.

Can I get the dimensions of what I would ask for if I go to Home Depot? Sorry, I am not building savvy. But I’m really going to try to make this.

  23. Ian Pattison on September 2, 2021 at 1:06 am

    "the 2×4 is just over $2" – cries in 2021, paying $10.

  28. bridgetbean79 on September 2, 2021 at 1:11 am

How much if the peat moss was that? And how much compost did you add! I’m SOOO doing this bed plan!

  29. clutchmadness on September 2, 2021 at 1:15 am

How come you used Douglas Fir instead of something like cedar? Wouldn’t that rot and break down really fast? I’m just wondering because I’m a total noob.

  30. Steve l on September 2, 2021 at 1:16 am

Hahaha not cheap any more 27 dollars for the 2×10 and 13 for the 2×4

  31. Dennis Watts on September 2, 2021 at 1:16 am

  38. Nij Jin on September 2, 2021 at 1:24 am

Isn’t using hardwood better and cheaper in long run? They can easily last 15-20 years.

  39. Sandi Gusic on September 2, 2021 at 1:24 am

Except the wood price skyrocket lol

  40. Northwoods Gardening on September 2, 2021 at 1:25 am

RIP affordable wood prices. 2.66 a 2×4. Wow

  41. GAFF M on September 2, 2021 at 1:27 am

We are worried about rot of the wood..
How to water proof the woods in the raised bed, as we intend to grow vegetables in there, we would like to preserve the bed for a few years – hopefully ..
    thx

  42. MikeB2112 on September 2, 2021 at 1:27 am

Great video James and Tuck! I will be making two of these this weekend. By the way, those 2x4s are wall studs that measure 92 5/8” in length and are made for framing a standard wall height of 8 feet. They’re precut to accommodate the top and bottom perpendicular boards. I worked in home retail for over 10 years and was asked this question quite a bit.

  43. soph_abb on September 2, 2021 at 1:30 am

I went and bought the materials for this today in the UK. I don’t think it could be classed as cheap anymore after Covid! Cost me £85 for the wood. The decorative trim cost me £20 alone! But nevertheless, this is a great video and really informative and I’m looking forward to starting constructing the bed this week! Thanks again for your great videos.

  44. moemoe18 on September 2, 2021 at 1:30 am

This would cost $4000 to make now lmfao

  45. Mike Graz on September 2, 2021 at 1:31 am

Is there a way to make a bed taller as in like two three feet high?

  46. Dick Tree on September 2, 2021 at 1:32 am

This was super helpful! I live in arizona so gardening in the ground is incredibly hard but I have a perfect shady spot paced out for a bed and am planning to build next weekend

  47. Seorwulf on September 2, 2021 at 1:34 am

Watching this in 2021 crying over the lumber prices

  48. Christine Lange on September 2, 2021 at 1:35 am

I LOVE YOUR DOGGIE TO BE IN ALL YOUR VIDEOS PLEASE! hes a little cutie following you around, so sweet… i love you for loving your dog…..

  49. Liz Davey on September 2, 2021 at 1:35 am

I love how you love your little doggie 💕. I found you because I was looking for ideas to build my own raised garden bed. But I want one that involves minimal bending. God bless you and your faithfull mut : – )

  50. dahanks1 on September 2, 2021 at 1:35 am

I’d like to point something out if I may. I see a common mistake made on a lot of raised bed videos regarding using PTL for the beds. I’m a retired general contractor, and around 1998 or so, the EPA mandated that arsenic may no longer be used in PTL. It’s all copper and other minerals now, and safe for use in the garden.
