Are these planting from transplants or from seeds?

Thank you, Nicole. What about avacados during the hot season? How well do they grow here? I’m not far from you in zip 77388.

Grew massive sunflowers this year in June, they were beautiful. I also pinched the bolts off my basil and it went from March-December this year! I love our great growing weather!

This is exactly what I need. I started cooler crops in October in Texas and they’re not loving these peak 80 days.

If you want to speak in Southeast Texas, you might want to work on your accent.

This makes so much sense. North Texas and not much different here.

So for the veggies you mention, we should sow the seed at the beginning of the appropriate season? Or prior to the start of the season?

I’m looking forward to retiring in the Houston area. Currently in Minnesota with a short zone 4b growing season!

So true for more than just Houston too. I left my tomatoes to struggle all summer and look horrid, and now they are putting on new green vines, tons of blossoms and another round of fruit in September.

I live in Houston too. My garden is finally starting to look good. I’m growing so many vegetables.

This is great information not only for Houston but for those of us who live in the tropics(Bahamas for me). We have the same seasons you mentioned. A bit more humid in summer but same idea. Thanks so much🍅
