My favorite thing about having plant friends and being part of the planty community is just meeting new people who share my interests and getting to know them! Like you said, making friends as an adult is HARD and it really bummed me out for awhile. But thanks to instagram, I met so many people in my area who I never would’ve crossed passed with if it hadn’t been for this shared interest. I’ve met such a wide variety of people I wouldn’t normally gravitate to but I learned so much about so many different types of people (and everyone is so kind and generous!!!) It blows my mind how incredible this community it!

I think the best part about plant friends is being able to share a universal language with someone you’ve never even met before. As long as you both know plants, you easily become plant friends! 😊 Plus, being able to learn and grow from each other, since the plant world is so diverse, far from there being only one right or wrong way to do something. The trades on take a plant leave a plant are always really reliable and kind and generous. Most people get five stars because there isn’t much drama on the page. Even when I receive plants that are damaged, if the process and communication was good, I still give a five star review because plants sometimes really just get upset in shipping and it’s no ones fault. There’s rarely negativity and people are so welcoming to help you get started with trades. Highly reccomend !!!
