Hollow Knight- Easy Delicate Flower Path for Hardest Mask Shard
The hardest mask shard in all of Hollow Knight is licked behind the Delicate Flower side quest. In this video we will go over the easiest path to deliver the delicate flower to the Traitors’ Child.
The delicate flower is given to you by the Grey Mourner in the Resting Grounds. She has asked you to place it at the grave of her mantis lover in the Queen’s Gardens. The flower is very fragile and will be destroyed if you take damage.
List of Ways to Destroy the Flower:
– Taking any damage
– Riding the Stagways
– Using the Dreamgate
While riding the Stagways will break the flower, riding the trams will not.
As of Godmaster, additional flowers can be acquired after the quest is completed, allowing flowers to be given to other recipients once the Grey Mourner has departed. These can be found growing near the grave where the original flower was delivered.

Edit – years later on PC lol. My enemies didn’t respawn using the dreamgate. Sounds like it may be different depending on version or console type?

I can do path of pain hitless, but the end of the flower quest still gets me
I did this today! 11:37 AM August 27, 2021 Friday Fourth Week Of August. I did not copy the route you took. I chose an easier one just avoid those flying Mantis that throws a spinning projectile.
After this I smelled my FRAGRANT ARMPITS BY TOUCHING THOSE WITH MY FINGERS OHHHHH I AM VERY GOOD IN PLATFORMING!

I dropped down through the City of Tears, went across to the Fungal Wastes, and only cut through the edge of Fog Canyon on my way over. Never occurred to me about the bench and enemies respawning though.. At least the route I took has less flying, exploding, and projectile enemies. Had I known about the respawn thing, this would’ve been much easier lol.
What if the fragile charms would be delicate
But now that I think about it fragile health would be useless and fragile strength would be fury of the fallen but you don’t die in one hit
Enemies spawn if you get the flower from grey mourner in latest version – Update provided by Accordion Nymm.
I did not get a chance to test but believe it is true.
I went down the elevator to the City of Tears, then to the Fungal Wastes, and through Queen’s station. Then going through far less of Fog Canyon to enter the Queens Gardens the same way you did. I think City of Tears and Fungal Wastes are easier than Infected Crossroads and Fog Canyon.

Anyone who happens to have picked up Hollow Knight 4 years late (like me lol) use the Baldur Shell. If you get scared, you just focus and it will block damage

Geez, that’s what I get for not doing my research.
Before this video: incomplete quest even after 20-40 tries(2 solid hours of grinding)
After this video: Completed in 2 tries and roughly 15-20 minutes.

Very late but thanks for this guide. I am playing the game for the first time and this helped me a lot!
Still died once by dashing into the thorny entrance of the last tiny section. But this video helped me finding a good path + made me a bit more relaxed, since you did such a good job at pointing out that it is not that bad after all.
This one took me quite a few tries. I mostly ruined the flower on spikes at the end.
