Grow a Vertical Herb Garden in a Greenstalk Planter

Grow a Vertical Herb Garden in a Greenstalk Planter

GreenStalk is an easy-water vertical planter for herbs, vegetables, strawberries, and flowers.

There are two main challenges to growing edibles in containers – first of all, maximizing space for plants, especially on a small patio. The other is watering. Each of your pot plants will need to be watered every single day. This can be draining both literally and figuratively.

What if there was a way to grow more in a small space while reducing time spent watering, as well as the amount of water you use? GreenStalk has come up with a solution and they sent me their stacking planter to try out.

I wish I had a few of these vertical planters. I’ll have to point them out to my husband. Maybe eventually he’ll purchase a few… Brilliant idea this looks beautiful.

I just got three but determining where the grey water trays went between the planters was a trick. I believe the top reservoir also needs a water tray under it between it and the tallest planter. That helps to distribute water to the tallest planter. You probably already corrected this but wasn’t sure – maybe yours works well without it. I think I’ll pant herbs in mine, also.

You need to plug it first then pour your water in. Since you are using 4 tiers fill the water to the number 4. Then you can release the plug and you will have the correct amount of water. You can also add water soluble fertilizer to the water every week to 10 days. Hope this helps.
