Grab a copy of my book: http://bit.ly/epicgardenbook I had some fun with this one…I realize these types of “hack” videos are made just for the views but it was fun to look at this from a gardener’s perspective. What do you guys think…any good hacks in this one? Was I off base in any of these? Send me your favorite gardening videos to react to!

The actual reason some people may plant things upside down like that is because plants absorb water through the root tips. Upside down, plants’ roots are closer to the surface, so you wouldn’t have to water as much to reach the root ends. The issue with this is you are more likely to over water or under water your plants. Just plant your plants properly.
Thanks for the adivs
Those holes looked to uniform to be from bugs. They definitely had a soldering iron or hot knife for that
Every year I grow 1 tomato plant upside down. It does much better than my other tomato plants that were rightside up. We just do it for fun.
Slay those Facebook "Hack"ers…..!
I find so much joy in watching hack debunking videos for subjects I know nothing about
I bought your book. Had some kindle credits laying around. If it’s as good as I think it’ll be I’ll be back for a signed copy. I wanna say thank you though. Plenty of people are doing this but your videos are so easy to digest. Please never stop
In elementary school we did the terrarium with jam glasses. I just dug out a patch of weeds and put it in a jar. Last year it moved with me to my first own appartement 😂
If you’re eventually killing the succulent, I think it’s still a waste. I want to have live plants not something that’s gonna eventually be some ice trays with a bunch of dead succulents and dirt falling all over the floor. I’ve even been finding things like this in local gardening shops. Everyone’s selling miniature containers with a single hen or kokedamas that fall apart after the first watering. 😭

What HP must the soil have for the soda to react so violently!
More like, "throwing up" amiright? up top *high five*
OMG the panty hose comment I almost spit my milk.
It’s sad to think there are people spreading false information about living things! Plants have feelings blossom!
I would like to see that macrame/rope hanger idea in slow motion so that I can make them myself.
An aspirin ground up and put into the spray bottle and used on tomatoes plants will boost the (hormones) that the plant releases to protect itself from pests..Roots and Refuge channel
purposely damaging plants to make a video. shame on you blossom
If you tell someone feeding themselves only with chocolate ice-cream they will believe you and gave you thumb up. If you tell them to stop drinking soft drinks and eat more veggies they will gave you thumb down. That’s kind of garden populism 🙂
pretty sure the point they’re trying to get by watering upside down is that it gets more water the roots, but like, have they ever heard of bottom watering-
Source: trust me bro
Great vid and true words, but its just a bit hard to take it seriously when his plants are wilting and dying on the background shelves lol
The cork idea would work better with air plants… Probably?
If upside down plants absorbed more nutrients, plants would almost certainly grow upside down. Plants haven’t been adapting and evolving as long as they have only to still be doing it wrong.
eating plants, is my ninja way
Ironically some of the excessive water tips might actually help me. The area I live in is so arid that I have a lot of trouble just keeping my house plants watered enough, and really cannot have any drainage on them, not even the succulents, because even a little just absolutely rips the water out of the soil. Might try that sponge idea at the bottom, that could really help.
3:08 I saw the seed they put inside the teabag and its a mung bean which grows in ANY moist environment. We had this assignment in 2nd grade too. Just put mung beans in plain water even and it will start growing in a day.
did dole start this myth that bananas are high in potassium? lol its crazy how much ive heard this when in reality your better off eating greens
Dude. You earned the like with your first reaction. "Eat the banana."
Signed an old lady who’se grown food for 40 years.
*Has 10 years of gardening experience* “I wouldn’t call myself an expert”
My respect for this guy: 📈📈📈📈
You can really see how they can lead people a stray.. They have normal tips mixed in with just bogus hacks that can actually be harmful to your soul microbial health, or even your plants period.
maybe you all just go to sleep….
I have a sterlite tub with the gasket on top that I grow terrarium plants in. They do really well in there. The trick is setting up a good false bottom. The secret though is springtails. They’re tiny arthropods that eat mold. I’ve had my tub going over a year now and just added a few isopods too. We’ll see if I can keep one for 30 lol
Haha good job exposing these fakes
So I have a fear of worms but I know how vital they are in any garden for composting/decomposing material and ultimately for the success of plants… What do I do xD That’s the gardening hack I really need
"It’s been propagated quite a bit." Not only is the garden game great, so is the pun game.
the 442 dislikes are blossom subs that think he is dumb for thinking the hacks are dumb… lol
What did you guys think of these hacks? Drop videos you want me to react to down below, and don’t forget to grab a copy of my book if you want the TRUE hacks: http://bit.ly/epicgardenbook
10:45 the khaby lame style 😂
I can’t remember what video it is but I’ve seen someone advising that boiling a banana peel in water and using it on your plants will give them potassium
At 10:50 you basically were cabby lame
Anyone have a remedy for an aloe plant that is doing bad inside and outside as well 😂… I think my mistake was letting it get sunburned when I first got it I thought it was tolerant of sun because it holds alot of moisture in it’s leaves but I was wrong and the sun like scorched it and it has these weird sun scorched circular spots. So I put it inside but the way my windows are positioned my living room does not get enough light anywhere to have any plant inside unless it’s right by the windows(which don’t have a good spot to put a plant nearby anyway as my couches are under the windows).so now my aloe is an ugly pale ish green color and doesn’t seem to be growing any bigger it just seems stuck in this miserable looking state..Also it seems so top heavy that the weight of it’s leaves just make the leaves bend and break.. help🙄
I’m a horticulturist I’ve blocked blossom don’t want that junk on my yt stream just do your cute hacks 😂
You guys that live in really good gardening zones don’t have any idea of how hard it is in other places to grow. Anyone can grow a plant in San Diego.
7:04 Even simpler than this. Use an insert. Put the plant in a generic potting container, then put that container in the larger pot. This method allows you to literally lift the plant out and empty excess water.
"Pantyhose.. okay plenty of those at my house🤨"
😂🤣😂 my favorite part.
Thank you for being real with the knowledge bro
eat the banana and plant your aloe in the dirt. this first hack is actually making something uncomplicated more complicated.
I appreciate Kevin’s hacks advice and inputs makes sense💜🤣💜
🌍Great job 🕋
That poor plant with the cigarette burns!! 😱😱 How evil. I can hear her screaming, “why are doing this to me?” 😔
I love this Kind of videos ! You can really fond some wierd things on the web 😂.
I also have a question… What do you think about surface compostage ( hope it is called like that in english?). I just started a little gardening on a little balcony and I have Been watching a lot of videos
This was entertaining, 🤣 they definitely should stick to cute crafty with plants, not advice.
