Garden Tour of a Potager Style Kitchen Garden in Zone 6 Rhode Island
A narrated garden tour of our Potager in Zone 6b Rhode Island on June 29, 2020. This is 6 weeks into our growing season (last frost May 15). Of note, our potatoes in grow bags are starting to die back and will be ready to harvest soon. The first sweet pea flowers are blooming on the trellis in the root/lettuce garden. 6 varieties of lettuce continue to produce as we employ the cut and come again method of harvesting. Our heirloom tomatoes (and a couple hybrids) are pruned to a single stem and growing tall. The cattle panel arches are starting to fill in with pole beans and winter squash. However, the brassica/legume bed has been decimated by a hungry bunny.
