End of June Vegetable Garden Tour | Permaculture & No Dig Raised Beds

This video is an end of summer tour of the vegetable garden to show you how things are looking and to use as a comparison when I make the full summer tour of the garden later in July or August depending on how this weird season goes! I really hope you find it interesting seeing how the raised beds are developing. This kitchen garden has always been 100% organic with no use of any chemicals ever and is around 19 year old.

Growing potatoes might not be as cheap as bought ones, but home grown tastes so much better.

Do you have a video on how you do the seed bed for brassicas? I’ve not heard of this but I’ve seen how you pull them to plant amongst your beds and I really love that and want to give it a go.

Incredible work, so refreshing to see. You mentioned you and your family aren’t connected to water. Have you always lived here or was this a choice? So very inspiring. Its beautiful. Love from the Netherlands

Just stumbled on you today- LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. I LEARN THE DIFFERENT VEGETABLES, SEASON THEY DO BEST, WHAT THEY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE. WHAT T GROW TOGETHER IN THE SAME BED. YOUR GARDEN IS BEAUTIFUL.

I’m sorry if I haven’t found it, but do you have a video on how you made/where you got your raised beds from? And any advice for anyone looking to invest in them soon? Thank you!

What a fab garden. I am watching this on a cloudy December day. It has really cheered me up.
I have been gathering a lot of leaves and manure, so hoping for good things next year.

  24. Veronica on January 10, 2022 at 5:56 pm

???? I’m interested in a greenhouse because we have very hot, dry, windy conditions for much of the growing season. How do you decide which plants should be grown in the greenhouse, and which should stay outside?

  25. Ozzie Green on January 10, 2022 at 5:56 pm

How do you deal with slugs and snails naturally. I started with great enthusiasm then gave up each time because of them

  26. Luiz Fernando Schuler on January 10, 2022 at 5:58 pm

I realy like your ideia of beans on the path ,but did you know that the lily family and leguminous family are antagonists as far as companion plants are concerned. I´ve tested it. Beans and peas don´t grow well next to onions ,leeks or garlic.

I’m in southern Arizona. The desert! My garden looked like that after our Monsoon rains. I now understand how important "natural watering" is to gardens…not just regular "faucet" water.
