Most excellent use of zip ties, I like it!
Hi how’s it going? Great install! How’s the led panel working for you? Is the light strong enough?
Nice.Β Not sure if my cats would tear it down…grrr.
Can you use this for having herbs in the house?
Really interesting design and something I could easily do. Thank you.
Hi. Bro.Thanks for your wonderful video. My name is An Jia, come from China. We also have a plant grow light. Dual head 40 LED beads 14 blue and 26 red timing fuction grow lamp. This is a new designed, fan heat function more powerful than white, and beads life longer.Would you like to test and have it ? If you agree, we would like to ship it to you for free. We promise our product with high quality and workmanship strict.
So does it matter if i light the plants with these three kind of lights through all the stages of its growth?
great job! It looks amazing π
Those LEDs look cool it’s to bad they are $50 a piece up here.
Are you going to do a series on this? I would be very interested in this. I am just south of you and want to get into gardening this year.
Great job… ‘Erbs! What about the ‘H’.
Go Green
Nice job! Looks great!
Nice tidy job. I’m looking forward to the grow results.
I have a shelf that is 2′ by 3′. Do you think I could I get away with 1 (2 linked together) of these per shelf like you did or should I double that? I will mainly be using it for starting seeds.
Not bad but how you going to raise the light?
Great job!! New sub!!! Please take a peek at my channel π
great idea. Let me know if the plants are leggy. looking to see what the optimal distance is between the light and the plant is.
Fantastic!!!! My windows look purple at night when i come home after dark.
Nice!
I can’t find the link to the light panels you use in this video. The link you posted here (http://amzn.to/2raRGV2) took me to the general LED grow light area. Please post the exact link to the item you used, please. Thank you.
Have you tested these lights for performance? Awesome if they actually work.
Real cute idea thanks
Love this ! Im also in michigan
Awesome! Looks great too! Canβt wait to see how well it works for starting seeds πππ»π±
Great idea. I need to get some plants going.

Great idea, and a neat, clean, seamless install too!
Genius! Great video.
thanks for sharing nicely put
Thanks
How do you know that the distance between the light and the plant is at optimum level. Too close will burn the plant and too far away decreases the efficiency of the light.
Nice DIY project, I will most likely build with similar shelf I have. The only thing I would probably not do is mount powerstrip under bottom shelf. The power supplies for panels need to be vented or they will burn out prematurely.
Have been looking for months for a cheap solution that provides plenty of space. This is exactly what I needed!!!!
I have that same heater
Got another winter project.
This is great. I covered a larger white shelf in visqueen and used it outside for a greenhouse. It worked
wow that looks hard how did you even do that
Just finished my shelf! What a fun project for the family, thanks for the idea SSL family dad!
You are so smart π€ love it π
Go Blue !

You got me inspired!!
Great idea! I was thinking the same with my bakerβs rack so I didnβt have to drill a hole. This could be good for small hydroponic stuff too.
My LED lights came yesterday and I’m picking up the other supplies tomorrow to build one of these this weekend. How is your’s working? Do you have any plants yet?
This looks like a really great idea. I may have to look for a place in our "little" house to set one up. Our growing season is so short up here that we can’t plant outdoors until late May. It would be nice to start my own plants instead of buy them at the garden stores and getting more plants than I need or not even the kind I want. Thanks
Do you leave the lights on 24/7?
very nicely put together where do i find the light?
where did you get this shelf? im looking for one like it on amazon
Hey. Did you look at incorporating a small fan for air flow? I was looking at the little computer fans for mine.
My plan is to use an old curio cabinet to use as a indoor greenhouse. The cabinet is 6 feet tall and the shelves are glass. My question is how many panels would you suggest I get for 4 shelves. Do I need one for every shelf if my shelves are made of glass? Thank you for the advice! Jodi
