Cherry Blossoms in San Diego at Balboa Park's Japanese Garden

Cherry Blossoms in San Diego at Balboa Park's Japanese Garden

The Japanese Friendship Garden is home to over 200 cherry trees that bloom in March & April. In addition to cherry trees, the Japanese Garden is home to Azaleas, Wisterias, Bonsai trees, Koi Ponds, Rock Gardens, and more! It’s a very tranquil place to experience nature in the true Japanese tradition.

I have been to Shinjuku, Japan a few years ago at the shinjuku gyoen national garden during the blossom season–So beautiful. I’m not too far from San Diego. Didn’t know that Japanese Garden was there. Might visit it. Thank you for the info.

The best part of your videos is that you tell us what the date is. Besides that keep them coming, great vacation planning videos. Love the walkthroughs as well.

That is such a beautiful park! For young cherry blossom trees, they look quite beautiful! I’ll be curious to see what they will be like several years from now!
