Beautiful, thank you! Will change to aquarium sealant so will be safer for wildlife, and will also use that where you used electrical tape, just in case, also for wildlife safety. This is a great design which even if someone had a limited income could be saved up for and thrift-shopped for many of the items needed. Thanks for sharing this beautiful, simple design.

I made this but only used the clay pots as molds for concrete. Just add concrete dye to give it the terracotta looking finish, or any color you desire.

Saucers too deep. Most small songbirds will not bathe in this. Drink, yes. Bathe, no.

Hi, one question: The cylindrical transparent plastic of the tip, where the water comes out in the style of an umbrella, have you bought it? Have you made it?
Since animals will likely drink from this, it is best to do a bit of research & be certain that everything that will contact the water is non-toxic for animals. I’m not sure that that silicon caulk is food-safe, & I would check on the tubing as well. Also, electrical tape will not hold in water & is likely toxic.
But your general project plan is beautiful & once it is all animal-safe, then I would love it!

the blue hose is not ideal to use it will make the water pump work a lil but harder and shorten the life of the water pump. A tube with out ridges would be better less water restriction for the little pump.

Question… Why the hole in the 14 inch saucer? I love this set up. I just can’t understand what I would do with the whole in the 14-in saucer. I would think the water would pour out from the bottom but it’s not. Doesn’t look like it
