What to plant in your Garden in April [Zones 7 and 8]
Garden planting season is well underway in Zones 7 and 8. There are a lot of vegetables you can be planting in your backyard garden in the month of April.
Last frost dates should be approaching for your Zones 7 and 8 gardens. That means there are lots of cool season and warm season plants that you can be putting in your garden during the month of April.
This video gives you all the details of what you can be planting this month. This list includes the following:
Zone 7 and 8 after the last frost
Plant by Transplant
Peppers, Tomatoes, Celery, Brussels Sprouts
Plant by Seed
Leaf Lettuce, Spinach, Cucumbers, Melons, Zucchini, Crook Neck Squash, Patty Pan Squash, Winter Squashes, Pumpkins, Corn, Beans, Sweet Potatoes, Potatoes.
In Zone 7 only you can also plant the following vegetables before your last frost comes:
Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Kohlrabi, Beets, Brussels Sprouts, Onions, Cabbage, Carrots.

Thanks so much for breaking it down by zones. 7b here and while I don’t think we’re gonna have a frost, but it’s always reassuring to get that list. My melons, peppers are still in the greenhouse with only 2 leaves.
