Can I at least clean it for a few minutes in water? Then dry it off and store it?

LOOOOOng and mostly bla-bla.
I just found some vacuum packaged whole flax seeds in my freezer with an Oct 2014 expiration date! They smell and taste fine. Do they still have any nutrients, or should I throw them out?
Can you put oxen dissolve it in your seeds bags
Hi, what if your saving seed from the food I’m eating?
Gracias:D
That’s a blizzard ok SNOWFLAKE LOL
question : is it bad if you store seeds directly in plastic? vs paper than plastic? is it possible to absorb to much water out of a seed? I thought seeds needed a certain amount of % of water to sprout. I was wondering if I added 2-4 or a large silica pack if it could damage my seeds?
also random other question can you grow Brussel sprouts in the winter to spring for early summer harvest if you grow them in doors part of the time? Thank you so much! I have loved your channel. I grew a lot the past few years and loved my Chinese eggplants. Saved seeds from everything I could.
Oh I’d love to know your opinion on saving F1 seeds….. I know they won’t be the same but do you save any of them and plant them?
Hi what about saving seeds from fresh produce is there a preferred process for this? ie drying before storing?
Roots and Refuge sent me over here. Subbed
Freeze dry them? mylar bag? with 02 absorbers?
Seeds will never “go bad” as long as they don’t get wet and are stored in proper temperature. Seeds last decades
When talking about saving seeds, go to the points directly, dont simply lengthen your video by speaking this and that its borring.
I have a hundred leftover baby food jars. Label. Date. Screw. Done ✔
Thanks Luke! This video answered my question. I think you’re one of the very few that has this topic. Thanks a lot! I saw your video on planting peanuts. And I was wondering how to save the seeds for next season. I just got my answer!
I like to store my seeds in the original little bag with a clip on the opening. Then I put them in a small cardboard box I already have, similar to a shoebox. It doesn’t require any materials that I don’t already have.
Seed to Seed by Ashworth used this book for many years. Available on Amazon (no I don’t get any remuneration for this.)
That’s a blizzard? #HoldMyBeer
Keep the seeds cool and dry as well as out of light.
Some seeds don’t last near as long as others.
I’ve been in livestock my whole life. Horses mostly. Got pounded out of that work, needed something to do.
I can dig holes and build fences like mad. 🙂 not so sharp on growin stuff except hay.
Of all the true helps I’ve found on the interweb the last year, this channel here helps the most.
Nicely and understandably presented, similar climate to me and there’s never nothing to look at and learn from. Very much appreciated.
Peace
Hi from Georgia! 💚🍃🌾 thank you for teaching me great stuff!!
OMG and you’re wearing a t-shirt? lol
Can I keep them in my refrigerator or should I put them in the freezer?
Throw a little dry rice in with the seeds in the mason jars the help with excess moisture.
Lol at the blizzard.
So, once you seal the seeds in their original bags inside the food saver, do you put the closed air-free bag in the freezer or can that just be put in the dark cupboard? Which is better?
Seeds need no special storage, just keep them dry. I’m a 67 year old farmer. They will keep forever.
can we put the packet in fridge for long time??
Hi, greeting from Indonesia.
I have a bunch of seed, probably about 20-30 kinds of seed and each has more than hundred seeds.
As u said in this video, i keep all the seed inside plastic box, and store it inside my refrigerator.
My question is, everytime i took the seed out from my fridge, the plastic box always get wet due to condensation process. Is it ok for my seed? Bcs ofc it makes my plastic box wet, and i don’t want my seeds germinate inside my fridge, tho.
Thanks for the video. Regarding storing in the freezer, is there any concern of the frost-free feature and/or should it be a deep freezer?
Put a sweater on!
Seeds NEED AIR TO SURVIVE!!!!! DO NOT VACUUM SEALING THEM!!!!!!!!
Hi..is it same with the flower seeds?
So basically you’re looking for the opposite of gardening and germination conditions– no light, warmth, or water.
A prepper I spoke to vacuum-sealed his seeds kept them in a bin somewhere in his house and planted the seeds after 7 years…. ! Wow!
I keep my seed packets sealed in Ziploc bags and sorted as cool/warm weather crops. I then double bag them in a gallon Ziploc, and stash then in my spare refrigerator. I planted 18 Ferry-Morse "National Pickling" cucumbers dated 2005 this spring, and all but two or three came up. I was very surprised! And saved seeds from one plant, since I used up the old ones. Coolness, darkness and dryness are exactly what you need. A vacuum sealer WOULD be nice, though. 👍
Thanks for this. My friend who is an American Herbalist saves her seeds in the freezer … I think. 👍☺️
Thanks 4 sharing!!! 💞
ONE YEAR viability is really what matters to me
You’re an amazing speaker/communicator, and I love how detailed you get! Super informative.. Great teacher.. Thank you.

When I tell people to talk dirty to me, this is exactly what I’m talking about 🤤🤣
Hi, what about oxygen absorbers in mason jars?
FROM BROWN PAPER BAGS I MADE TINY ENVELOPES AND PLACE THE SEEDS INSIDE.
TIME CONSUMING BUT THE BEST CHEAPER WAY FOR ME.
Hi Luke, seems like this video focuses on annual veggie seeds. I’m more into perennial fruits and nuts. I heard that walnut seeds should never be allowed to dry. Do you know about cherry, plum or saskatoon seeds? I think I should dry them like your video explains.
