Buddleia??
Ok as a mechanic tools are always needed. With that yes some tool it is worth spending money on.
But don’t forget some tools can be made from others. I have a flat blade screw driver that I use everyday I bent it to a 90° bend. Payed nothing for it found it when digging a hole for my wife’s tree.
That tool has been my favorite.
Looks like mine minus the Japanese hoe n hori hori
I use a nut driver for clamps. Have put a flathead screwdriver into my hand enough times to not like it.
Excellent points Dan! I’ll check out some of these tools. I already have substitutes for some of these. I use a 5 gallon bucket with a tool bag liner and it’s actually too much because it catches too much dirt. I need that hori hori! I make many of my own tools but you have some good suggestions here!
The dig dig is by far the best garden tool recommendation I’ve ever taken. The Burpee bag is a close second. I’ve been using both constantly since I got them back in the spring time.
Welcom adi jaya gabung
Thanks I need to learn how to sharpen tools and knives correctly…. I love the knife tool also⭐⭐⭐
Aren’t you supposed to store your tools in sand to prevent rusting?
I had my daughter buy me a Christmas present and I requested the Hori Hori which I’m very much enjoying because it’s a very sturdy thing to dig up the dirt. I highly recommend the Hori Hori. PS thanks for doing real time videos
Thanks. I want them all. 🙏🤠
Huggs and love your videos.
Thank you, I definitely need a sharpener for pruning shears!!! I used them to prune a Rose of Sharon..and abused it and it fell into pieces.. Easily put back together but, if it’s not sharp it will ball back!!!😂
I was gifted a dribble by my daughter who is a professional horticulturist. I like it and use it a lot.
Wow, Thanks. Great video, Really appreciate the run down.
I’m literally drooling on these tools, as if I am in Dolce and Gabbana shop 😂😂😂 only that I’m not into fashion. I’m into tools!!!!
What is the name of the bush with the blue-ish mauve flowers please?
Thanks. What are your favs of each type of tool if you could have only one saw, one trowel, type one saw etc.
Hi Dan, thanks for all this great info; can you pls tell me what the beautiful shrub/small tree with the violet blooms is? Many thanks…
I just use my old Jim Bowie knife 🤠
great video! would you consider a video on sharpening the hand tools? along with general maintenance of garden tools? good quality tools plus good maintenance of those same tools equals great gardening! thank you for your consideration.
You Rock. God bless y’all.
Please tell me what the lilac vine is that is growing in your garden?
your backyard is like Pat M.who took in the Karate Kid!
Hey, Dan… Let’s assume for a moment that I buy everything you recommend in the last 10 videos. I did a little math and I worked out that my Bok Choy and Onions would be $20 kg. Time to take a reality check buddy and start to do the math!
Thanks for sharing! I just bought the soil scoop through your link! And I agree, hori hori is #1
Thank you for my tree collard/kale seeds! A big step toward food security. So exciting! Will plant them with hyssop!
Can you please share any information on using wool in the garden?
I have been searching everywhere through all my saves and through you uploads. I can’t find the video you did including mycorrhizal fungi. Can you send me the link?
the hilarious ad before your vid is about the gov taking care of us! do not fall for that, listen to Dan and get growing, baby!
those gooseneck tools are wonderful for me
take care, Dan! gotta get my worm house up this week! 🌻…hand soap?
Love that hat and the tools
I carry a bucket with tool liner and a seat lid. With it I carry a hori hori knife, bypass pruners and sharp bonsai detail snips. That is all I ever carry and it does every job for me. Because I use pots on my patio, I also carry some plastic screen. From your extensive list I only plan to get some medical scissors. Thank you for opening my eyes to options, but I guess I am a minimalist in the garden and like only a few tools…that, or I’m a lazy gardener. My peas are up and my tomatoes and peppers are ready for bigger pots, along with about 30 other items. Oh, I love spring! By the way due to health problems I only garden seated on my bucket with its lid and I grow all our summer veggies and some winter ones. Anybody can garden.
I so appreciate this Dan! May I ask…. do you feel that we should sterilize our tools? I’m curious. Blessings!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I also use pliers for pulling up tree saplings that have sprung up from all our acorns
Best content 👌 great work thanks for sharing stay blessed and stay connected full watch ur best video
What zone are you in and what is that beautiful arch made from?
Thanks. I am going to get some of these. I also carry twine or rope, drip hose tools, and drip hose replacement nozzles.
After loosing all of my hand tools in a fire, I bought every item recommended to make gardening easier. I love these tools so much that I’m leaving the bag and all the tools in my will for whichever family member loves gardening as much as I do! The cost was over $400, but worth every penny!
Looks like you have a great assortment of garden equipment!
Where in the Nation are you situated?
Nice overview of the tools but what is that beautiful shrub full of blue blooms in the background? I need more blue in my garden. Thanks in advance. 😉👍
Could also put hose nozzles/adapters in the bag
My favorite tool is an old hoe(without the long handle) that belonged to my grandmother. I use it to rake, weed, dig and mix soil. Over many years of sharpening the blade it has become smaller and easier to use.
Thank you for your videos that you sure with everyone. I am a new garner and they do help me. God bless your family
great vid thanks !!
It always confuses me when people say "I don’t have the tools" so they don’t do anything. Buy one tool a month over the next year and……wow! 12 tools! You can do about anything with 12 tools. Add in a mechanics tool set in the mix and you would be hard pressed to find something you can’t do as far as general tasks such as gardening and carpentry is concerned.
Hi
I have one of those 4" augers for my electric drill. Digs perfect holes for all my veggies I start from seed. Takes me about 5 secs to dig a hole and drop in my plant. I’ve dug hundreds of holes with it and still in great condition. Sure saves time.
Great video. Thanks!
That’s a great way to carry garden tools close to you. I currently use a 3 gallon bucket. Now I am going to wrap a bucket tool holder around my little bucket buddy to keep my garden tools organized. Thanks for sharing, I learned a valuable lessons for storing my garden tools.
