Such a pretty color and texture combination!
This may be my favorite planter combo ever!! Love it!
I love the fact that the plant is called โChocolate Dropโ ijs
๐๐
Really nice
I love your videos but I always feel a bit weird about taking your advice because itโs sponsored content. Itโs nothing against you, but when youโre new to gardening and still learning, seeing such gorgeous lush plants and then the brands associated just makes the whole experience seem somewhat fake/unrealistic. I donโt know.. I guess people like โRoots and Refuge Farmโ are more my speed
Oh wow! That turned out beautiful. I love all the plants together. I’ve got to go this weekend and pick up my flowers for my window boxes and pots. I can’t wait!
Anyone know why my self watering window box never dries out. Its in the shade, and feel like my plants are suffering because they are always damp. They look ok, just sitting there never really growing. I have begonias and inpatient’s planted. thanks
Love them all. Especially the Coleus and begonia. I have been thinking about what plants to get that do well in the shade. ๐๐
Looks so amazing Laura!!
Absolutely beautiful!!! ๐๐ผ๐ Love every single plant used. Amazon mist has been a favorite and done amazing for us. As the wind blows and the sun shines it shimmers giving a beautiful almost silver look just stunning. Loved that chocolate drop sedum ๐ lol! Beautiful as always wonderful way to end our day have a great evening guys!!! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Laura, I REALLY wish I felt like ooohing & ahhhing over these window boxes; but, I JUST CAN’T! I DO NOT like the Surefire Pink Begonias in this arrangement! The color DOESN’T look good with either the heucheras OR anything else in the box! PLEASE find another place for them instead of leaving them where you have them! I keep thinking about you guys opening your garden for the big event and I JUST DON’T want people to see this combination. Surely, you can find something with a white bloom or do as you said and just remove them; but, don’t replace them with anything! There will still be plenty of plants to grow big and fill those boxes up. I’m sure that I CAN’T BE THE ONLY ONE who feels this way! Those begonias are very pretty-just NOT THERE! I absolutely LOVE the other plants you chose for this application; but, the begonias REALLY detract from the rest! I’m NOT just being mean or negative! I don’t want to hurt your feelings; but, I’m afraid you’ll be embarrassed (by others) if you don’t rethink this design! Take care. Happy Spring! God bless you all. PLANT LOVE!๐พ๐
This is and will be so beautiful!! I’m so excited to see how it grows! Great combination.
Have you tried to fix the tubing under door with hot glue?
Our phone line got glued this way to the corners and it is hardly noticeable.
These are just beautiful! I have a shaded flower bed by our front porch and I’m looking for a plant that will climb up a trellis; I wonder if you could advise what would look pretty in a shaded area (very little sun, if any where it’s located)? Thanks in advance! Have a great day! ๐คโค๏ธ
Thank you for the inspiration- went early this morning and bought plants for my new window boxes ๐ฅฐ
Sooo beautiful. I love those plants.
This may be a dumb question, but if you leave them in their nursery pots, instead of potting them in soil, will they stay the same size & not take over the boxes? And then you can just pop them out & plant them in the landscape or discard the annuals if they canโt be planted? Youโd have to hand water, of course.
These colors tho
Laura, totally off topic, but where are your jeans from please? Is there a brand you always wear as I always have jean envy x
What’s the difference between the biotone and the slow release fertilizer?
I really would like to see a video on planting flowers for beginners…Iโm trying to teach myself but some of my plants are dying and I donโt know what Iโm doing wrong.
loving!! that chocolate drop coleus!!! and it really plays off against the Heuchera color, great choice.
Gorgeous! ๐
Beautiful!
So pretty!
Oh my God those window boxes….they are seriously some of the most beautiful container plantings I have ever seen. Aaaand, I’m just about to buy shade plants for my first shade containers ever. So this gave me even more ideas. Thank you thank you.
Wow! What a house! We could learn a lot about plants there. You have a private botanic garden ๐
What are some of your favorite gardening YouTube channels?
The colors are beautiful!
Beautiful!
Another beautiful combo! I do agree that you could do without, as beautiful as it is, the fire rose begonia. Though, a yellow flowered begonia would be more complimentary too. Great work!
Pretty pretty! And Aaron…you crack me up! *Coleus…*COLEUS!!
Love the Chocolate Drop/Surefire Rose combo. So much so I ordered 14 of them in total to create a small alternating hedge in the front yard. Ordered all the way back in December and was excited to finally get them a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately mine look nothing like yours. All of the begonias and most of the Coleus were cut down to2-3 inches above the can. The Begonia had very little root structure and were clearly not ready for sale. The coleus had the consistency of dead lettuce. Provenwinners has refunded three that were visibly damaged in shipping but so far have done nothing about the very poor quality of the others. I will definitely be taking your advice to buy local and go with what’s available next year, but I found it really sad that Provenwinners would stand behind such an inferior product given the high prices.
Hi Laura. I love having plants in my house, but my super efficient windows block uv lights and basically starve plants off sunlight, even if they are in the light, if that makes sense. What can I do besides grow lights?
This is the 3rd time watching this l love love these boxes! I want to do this without the grass!
They are pretty but plants increased in price this year (where am at) !!!
Where can I buy duck foot ivy? Oregon
Beautiful well balanced container. You definitely have an eye for picking out amazing combos โบ๏ธ. I will have to look for the Chocolate Drop Sedum, oops ๐ Coleus ๐. Thank you ๐๐บ๐ธ๐ฅฐ
I learn so much in every. single. video. Laura youโve thoroughly convinced me to design my own containers next year! Another outstanding design combo!๐ฏ๐
Really pretty โค๏ธ….loving the duck foot ivy and that coleus!
I got 5 Wildberry for Motherโs Day!! I scattered them, every other one in between my four little lime hydrangeas I also got for Motherโs Day!! I love it!!!
That wildberry plant is the most beautiful shade of purple. You definitely have a great eye for what colours schemes look great, Laura ๐ I love lots of purples and pinks in the garden, especially purple, it’s such an uplifting yet calm colour. My hubby has recently built a window box for outside our kitchen window and I can’t wait to choose the plants for it. This video was great inspiration ๐ก
Your videos are so inspiring. You make it look easy and have given me ideas to bring life to my planters.
Just love the begonias, a super gorgeous flower box arrangement!
It looks beauteous great job๐๐๐บ๐ป
You could make your own Kew Garden with all those beautiful fairy gardens put together. Everyone would love to visit you and might as well become a plant lover tourist attraction as well. Lots of love.
Wow, that came out beautiful! Now I want window boxes!
Beautiful as always. You truly inspire me. Tried some combo pots based on some of your suggestion. Hope they do well. Thanks for all you do and provide to us. Love this time of the year in New York. My Boyfriend say’s I turn into a flower/garden maniac and I need more land….LOL!
Could you tell me what’s the LxWxH of your window box? thank you ๐
