I personally find it difficult to find potential customers for microgreens. It is better to grow microgreens for yourself.

This small operation direct to consumer or very closer to the end user model likely works for so many products. Small manufacturing, one machine one product, likely endless. It is an industry he knows and saw opportunity. Hope this inspires alot of other literally mom and dad businesses.

  30. Alan Pinnt on November 7, 2021 at 12:44 pm

Unsure if I missed the math on this but they say they average $25 and flip 250 trays a week. 25*250=$6250. Okay, so in one month they make $25K gross? and $10K net? And maybe I can’t count but if they have 8 racks in production, there’s 16 trays per rack… 8*16=128 trays. So where is the other 122 trays? And they don’t even have 128 trays as the two racks one of the walls doesn’t have 4 shelves on the rack. I don’t know, the math doesn’t add up here. Not to mention, this much cash flow in such a small area, with so few trays, I believe there would be a lot more people doing this tomorrow, assuming the math is legit here.

I hope you are not using vermiculite.

  32. SQUASH DUOS on November 7, 2021 at 12:50 pm

What’s state are you located in?
How much did your inventory cost ?

  41. TD on November 7, 2021 at 1:03 pm

Two people working 40 hours a week each. A job with no paid sick time or holidays,, insurance, pension or any other benefits. This couple might be better off finding work outside the home and save the gardening as a hobby.

  42. Victor Tan on November 7, 2021 at 1:03 pm

Thanks for sharing! What kinds of micro greens do you grow?

  43. Sunil Kumar on November 7, 2021 at 1:06 pm

    She definitely cheat…

  45. Vincent Vice on November 7, 2021 at 1:08 pm

Lies…..you can look up prices and listen to his grow times yourself. Try, 100 bucks a month….maybe….

  46. Dylan Alpers on November 7, 2021 at 1:08 pm

At the exchange rate at the time, this comes out to around $4,582.5 USD at the time of filming 🙂 and that’s for 40 hours of work a week. People are losing their minds, but after operational expenses it’s probably not much more than working a job that pays $25 and hour. That’s.. pretty darn reasonable for any job that requires skill, know-how, and marketing.

  47. Pablo Malacara on November 7, 2021 at 1:08 pm

What about CFIA license to grow Microgreens? All is good until CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) gets involved. Do you show this in your training?
